Nintendo’s very own social network Miiverse will be getting a rather nice revamp this summer on the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and the web. One of the new features enables users to save up to 100 screenshots in a private album. A new and interesting new feature is the Play Journal, which as the name suggests, is a record of your own unique gaming experiences by writing journal entries about games as you play them. To create a Play Journal all you need to do is open Miiverse while playing a game. There’s also a new look for the various communities that are found on the social network. One of the changes that users aren’t too happy about is the fact that you can only post 30 combined comments and posts a day. The update goes live this summer and you can read about and check out the full changes at this link.
Thanks, Landry, codymkw, Anthony

I’m live on miiverse! Come view my cam ;) … I’ll be waiting ;* xxx
lmao
YAAAAAAAS! I still don’t care for miiverse….
>>>Specially not Elite Veterans such as myself>>>
Miiverse: one of the most boring, useless things Nintendo came up recently.
I don’t think Its useless, as many people use it, and through it they get more involved in Nintendo’s IP. I think miiverse is good as it gives ground for a growing Nintendo community.
I know lots of people use it. But how easy is to do it?
Miiverse should be embbeded in the Wii U/3DS OS. Most of times you need to quit your application in order to access it.
Moreover, most of posts are just “hey, I think I have something cool to show off”. I’ve never seen mature, interesting discussions going on Miiverse.
Also, the baby-ish look of it freaks me out.
Collectively, its functionalities don’t exert any appeal on me and on a number or gamers.
Actually it is embedded in the OS and you don’t need to quit your application(excluding Smash) to use it, just like the web browser or the friend list.
There aren’t many mature conversations on miiverse because its like twitter in the sense that you post few words each time(especially in the beginning), I’ll agree on that, but I’ll also say that that wasn’t its purpose.
It does have a child-friendly look, which I think is fine for its purpose too.
I also agree that its functionalities don’t appeal to lots of gamers. I rarely use it myself. What im saying is that it is a good idea from Nintendo’s point of view as to create a Nintendo hub for people to chat, post opinions and involve themselves with the console more. I’m not saying it should appeal to everybody.
If the integration is decent today, my bad and I take that back. In the past, didn’t use to be.
Okay :)
Umm….You don’t need to quit games to use it.
I’m retracting that. My bad.
your opinions truly really leaves a bad taste in my mouth, disgusting
Sorry, I never wanted to trigger such bad feelings.
Miiverse is awesome, if you don’t like it just shut up.
^tyrannical, fanboy logic.
How about full-rez screenshots, not that 720p [on 1080p games] nonsense, Nintendo?
if they remove 3 minute dumb rule and fix there admin i’ll be happy.
Hey, their admins are better than most other admins at least. <_<
No they aren’t, the Miiverse admins are the worst from anywhere.
Agreed. Getting banned because you’re talking about Project M and it’s some reason crime related……? Like what?
That happened to me! Pisses me off.
They don’t do their real jobs. Have you been on the Support communities for Smash’s Miiverse stage?
Dicks. Dicks EVERYWHERE. I feel like I’m doing the admins’ jobs since I’m usually the one that reports them all…
You haven’t been where I’ve been… :(
Upgrade the screenshot function for use during play any time or get rid of it. Also, more VC games for 3ds. That will fix my problems haha.
The 3DS VC is pretty much dead in the water by now.
Hope they fix the painful loading times…
“Exciting” does not even come close to describe this update…
It’s “super exciting!”
Aaaand again, not the update most users want.
Be more lenient about posts (like on M-rated game communities- the kids you try so hard to protect shouldn’t be there anyway), remove the 2-minute wait between posts, and stop going after the users that aren’t problematic or make honest mistakes.
Just don’t give me a warning because I accidentally posted a blank post in the YouTube community for a second (intended to be deleted straight after) but instead the bot caught me in that one second… arg… it irritates me.
From the screen shots I’ve seeing, it finally looks more organized; discussions, play journal entries (what is this, lol?) and finally discussions. This is more specific than what we have now. Good but I’m worried about that update preventing those who get banned to create an alternative account. It wouldn’t be awful if the miiverse admin bot wasn’t so goddamn sensitive, lol.
30 comments a day is ass
Especially when a lot of us actually like to have meaningful conversations in such a forum type setting.
It’d be cool if Miiverse also had a streaming option. You’d stream your game and other Miiverse users would see it live and comment there. Or a straight up twitch stream option.
Eh, I have my PS4/Xbone – real modern consoles – for that tho.
When you hear Miiverse is getting a redesign…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJbmB9k2Y88
When you read more about it & find out it fixes abso-fucking-lutely nothing & actually seems to be making things worse…
30 post limit/comment restriction being included as well. Miiverse drawings will be sorted out by popularity.
…. Good fucking lord…. create a discussions section just to limit us with 30 comments/posts a day….
