Data-miner @NWPlayer123 has uncovered a number of files suggesting what could be included as forthcoming downloadable content in Super Mario Maker. The files that have been uncovered by the user include the iconic Angry Sun, Bullet Bills that don’t include a launcher, and also Goomba’s shoe. You can check out all the information in GameXplain’s handy roundup video, below.
Thanks, Batman

I could have sworn the goomba’s shoe was shown off pretty heavily in E3 footage
It’s in the game but only in the SMB and SMB3 styles and it’s instead replaced with yoshi in the other two.
Sooo… DLC to unlock in-game locked content?
or a free update because it’s buggy right now.
They already released an update yesterday that was suppose to solve those issues
I always tell myself not to complain about DLC. Especially if it’s free. But it’s just SO hard not to. That’s all I hear about nowadays. Every time I see videos of games on the internet, I see characters that my games doesn’t have. Or items, power-ups, stages etc. Because I never usually bother with DLC (unless it’s free. If even then).
Why am I the only one that ever complains about DLC or online garbage? I can’t be the only one who misses the days when a game you buy is already complete, and that’s it… until the sequel. As a kid, I might have had a different outlook on DLC than I do now.
Sure, in some ways it could be looked at as good, because it keeps a game feeling fresh for a longer time. But, in almost all cases, DLC usually becomes available after I’ve already finished the game and moved on. That’s SO annoying. Like in Mario Kart 8, I was already sick of the game and playing other things like Hyrule Warriors when Link and the Villager etc. became DLC. I was like, “SCREW IT. That game’s yesterday’s news”. And yes, same thing happened with Hyrule Warriors and all of those additional characters. Ugh! I’m SICK OF IT! I know that DLC is here to stay, and that I’m in the minority here (like always), but DAMN!!!!!!
If I was a troll, I’d copy this so I can paste it on every post based on DLC. Hehe
I share your pain. I miss the 80’s and 90’s, when games were complete out of the box.
And aare were the occasions I bought a DLC. But… We can’t do much about it.
*rare
Yea that can be annoying when they hold back content for paid DLC. Free DLC (like what they did with Splatoon) I think was a really good thing though! It kept me coming back, and back, and back because they just kept adding SO MUCH! And you can’t just bunch all DLC together and say that because there is DLC that it wasn’t “complete out of the box.” There’s a lot of games that are complete, but they add more stuff as DLC later. DLC is also a very good way of releasing games earlier, that are still complete experiences, and add new stuff as they are finished, instead of waiting till absolutely everything is done. But only if it’s a complete experience.
Too bad Splatoon was released incomplete, though, forcing us to wait 3 months for the game to be truly complete. By then, some of us lost interest & never bought the game. Maybe some day… when it’s in a bargain bin for 20 bucks.
That is going to take a long time before splatoon is going to drop in price with the weekly update’s and stuff maybe about ten year’s and than there is probably another splatoon by that time
yeah
Developing games has become exponentially more expensive since the 80s/90s. Like, compare the 10.000 to 100.000 bucks a game had cost back then to the 10.000.000 and more bucks games can easily cost nowadays. The games themselves are still sold for about the same price, though. A new game nowadays costs about 50 to 60 bucks, just like they cost 50 to 60 bucks in the 80s/90s. Sure, more people play video games nowadays, but that’s not nearly enough to cover the development costs, unless your game is selling in the high millions. Plus, player base is actually starting to decline at the time, since a lot of people are moving to mobile devices. To make it short: game developers need additional income to even be able to stay in business. DLC is an easy opportunity for such an additional income and, if you ask me, a quite fair one, unlike in-game microtransactions (especialla pay2win). DLC is probably the only reason a lot of AAA developers can still consider their games lucrative.
Mario Maker was Buggy to me as well. sometimes when i launch Mario Maker software And Then click on “Make” I get An error. then i tried going to course world. and it got me in. Weird errors i’ve been getting when i open the software. I think the update fix Those Maybe. (I Hope) Them Random Errors was getting annoying. I have Excellent Internet Connection. Wireless. And Miiverse is so Slow.. =.= When I want to Show people my ID Miiverse cant Display The page sometimes… I hate new miiverse design =.=
So Super Mario Maker did take a few cues from Splatoon? Well as long as the content already on the game is worth the $60 price tag, which WASN’T the case with Splatoon, I won’t complain.
nintendo should do another mario maker update you know color yoshi color pipes and also 2 more stages that they did not add they should add the snow place and the jungle place from new super mario bros wii U as well. thats a update they should do.
