Graceful Explosion Machine has just received an update that brings new features to the exciting Nintendo Switch eShop title. Announced on developer Vertex Pop’s website, the update brings a redesigned score screen that studio head Mobeen Fikree hopes will give you all the information you could want in one place. He also says that there will be a clearer breakdown of your score, weapon usage, and much more. Vertex Pop also wanted to highlight a great moment from each run, so Mobeen designed an AI system that understands when something spectacular is happening on screen and automatically captures it for you, ready to be shared or saved as you please. Lastly, while building out all these features, Mobeen optimized the loading code and he now claims the game will load “almost twice as fast now.”
These should be welcome additions to a game built around high score chasing and these updates also coincide with the announcement that Graceful Explosion Machine will be launching on the PlayStation 4 and Steam on August 8th. A great game gets even better!
Good to see they’re still updating it and trying to improve upon it. Definitely a game worth the investment, now a must buy for any fan of indie classic shooters.
