Not only has Fire Emblem: Awakening jumped straight into the UK charts at number three, but the game’s release has also seen a considerable increase for the Nintendo 3DS console sales. The latest RPG strategy based game has given the 3DS a boost in sales by a staggering 49%. Of course, this is partly due to the limited edition 3DS XL bundle launched alongside the popular title, which accounted for 31% of all UK hardware sales last week. Did you pick up Fire Emblem: Awakening over the weekend?
Nintendo of America has confirmed, via Twitter, that the Fire Emblem: Awakening Nintendo 3DS hardware bundle is coming to the U.S. and Canada. The downloadable version of Fire Emblem: Awakening is pre-installed on the Nintendo 3DS included in the bundle. Details on the bundle’s pricing and release date will eventually come.
Fire Emblem: Awakening launches exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS on February 4th in North America, and a free demo of the strategy role-playing game will be made available to download from the Nintendo eShop next week, on January 17th.
