The Countdown For The Wii

wiicontroler2.jpg

If Internet speculation serves us correct, then today is the day that retailer Virgin is set to be installing their very own Wii launch countdown clocks.

The information was posted via an email memo from the company’s head-office, stating that stores will be receiving the countdown clocks to ‘help in store activity and pre-awareness’ of the forthcoming console. Though it does have to be said that it’s plausible the clocks may not actually be set today, but even so, it does bring more speculation to the table that the announcement of the Wii release date could well become imminent.

  1. I have information!

The clocks are being taken to stores as we speak (or they may already be there) but they will not be activated until Nintendo confirm a release date. The clocks are for customer awareness.
