Lazard Capital Markets analyst Colin Sebastian has told online gaming publication Industry Gamers that he believes sales for the Nintendo 3DS have slowed down considerably since the console launched at the end of March.
“Based on our recent checks, we believe that sales of the 3DS have slowed considerably since the initial launch window, although the Easter holiday could provide a near-term boost,”

Sales will pick up when games like Ocarina Of Time, Star Fox 64, and so on come out.

All these dang “professional analysts” and others saying its slowing down shows what to expect from the 3DS need to shut their mouths.
Personally I’m beyond sick and tired of it.
Anyone with common sense would realize once games actually start coming out for the 3DS its going to be reflected in sales for the game & console.
Wish people would stop posting this crap about sales drops till its been on the market long enough to actually see something beyond the obvious.
just wait for zelda, kid ikarus, resident evil… sales are going to be on the sky

Tried out the 3DS at my local Gamestop and I’m sorry but I just don’t see what all the hype is about.
it’s because you didn’t turned the 3d on, felt the joystick or played street fighter 4.
By “slowed considerably,” they mean that it’s “only” beating down the competition with a bat, as opposed to with a nuclear missile.
Have to admit, even with the nay-Sayers here, I was really excited about the 3DS until I tried it. Haven’t been interested since, and if Nintendo think that a re-release of an n64 title, as good as it was, is going to get me to part with my cash, they’re very wrong. They’ve got the same prob they have with the Wii. A gimmick of an idea to sell, but no substance when it comes to titles.
Sheesh, give them a break. The system’s been out for barely a month- and you’re already complaining about the 3DS having ‘no substance when it comes to titles’ even in the long run? Only two of the good games that have been ANNOUNCED so far as N64 re-releases. It’s not like the entire library is constituted by those two games.
And you’re saying Nintendo’s titles have no substance when their IPs are basically some of the best in the industry? The hell?
Well come on. The thing is $250, has no good launch games, and the battery life sucks. I can’t help but feel Nintendo rushed this launch.
