Nintendo Wii: The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword Will Feature Orchestral Soundtrack From Mahito Yokota

Mahito Yokota, the sole composer of the Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development Tokyo since 2004, has revealed that the development team behind the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword have decided to include orchestral music in the game. Yokata announced that Shigeru Miyamoto originally decided against using orchestral music for the soundtrack but suddenly had a change of heart. Who’s looking forward to the epic soundtrack that’s going to grace the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword?

“At the E3 last year, when we were going to exhibit The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the first time, we talked about using orchestral music. But (Shigeru) Miyamoto-san said it wasn’t necessary.”

“Then, toward the end of summer break, they finally decided to put in orchestral music and I joined the development team.”

  1. This game just became all the more exciting for me, great music has always been a part of Nintendo series so I am glad to see that they are going to make it even better by using an orchestra!!

  2. And I’m glad to hear that we’ll be getting the music from the Japanese trailer for OoT in-game. ^_^ We may not have a fully-orchestrated soundtrack for OoT, but at least we’ve got this.
