Yuji Naka’s latest project for Wii which is titled Fishing Resort is officially coming to North America. Xseed announced via Twitter that they’re publishing the game in the United States. Whilst fishing games don’t generally interest me, this one looks a lot of fun. Given the fact that Wii games are trickling out at the moment, this could well be one game to keep your eye on. Yeah for a moment I thought it was a brand new sonic game!! Still nice concept this fishing game because it has more stuff than just pure fishing.

Not interested, I fish in real life and I also like the fishing on Animal Crossing and Zelda.
It looks cute, but i’d get seriosuly bored after my 10th fish… I really liked the fishing in Twilight Princess though. Still trying the get that crazy Loach… i must have caught 20 of the small ones. I want the big sucker!
Congrats to them for making it look good, but a fishing game is a fishing game and they seem really boring to me. Especially when games like Legend of Zelda have fishing as a really small minigame/side thing.

I don’t know about any of you, but this game actually looks very appealing. If you like the fishing in Animal Crossing, why wouldn’t you love this. It seems like a more in-depth take on it. And it seems like there’s plenty to do, so I think I could see myself playing a game like this for a while. And the visuals are great, very inviting!
