Former Acclaim/Iguana Entertainment employee Ryan Tracy has said that he would love to see Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, Turok 3: Shadows of Oblivion, and Turok: Rage Wars appear on the Wii Virtual Console. Tracy admits that the issue of IP ownership could ultimately hinder the plan, but concedes that it could be done.

OOT didnt really age well either…i found it difficult to play, after every Zelda after it, same with most N64/Playstation games, with exceptions (Crash, Spyro). Dreamcast is okay though, if a bit buggy.
Just because you found it difficult to play doesn’t mean OOT hasn’t aged well. As much as you may like to think it, your opinion is not the defining opinion of mankind. If you think that then fair enough but don’t try to say everybody feels the same like it’s a fact.
I said it didnt age well and found it difficult to play. I didnt say, you’re lying, that game is shit now. Its just an overall problem with N64/ps1, theyve aged alot worse than games on the SNES and even NES, its just a technically fact due to new tech, and 3D enviroments, but games of any other generation dont have that problem. Wind Waker will be as good and as playable as it was 10 years ago. But the original Castelvania, and Mega Man 2 are perfect, they dont have a dated feel, just retro.

I love how you praised the retro games like megaman 2 etc and said they are timeless. You seem to forget about sound limitations like 8 bit music which could only play up to 4 sounds at a time. Example of such a limitation is Super Mario Bros 3. If you grab a mushroom sometimes it makes a glitchy sound because the Sound chip is struggling to handle all the sounds at once. That is definitely not ageing well. Maybe visually… but def not in terms of sound design :P Also dont forget on the right hand side of mario bros 3… if u run fast, the screen flickers to a green for a split second and sometimes peachy. You can see this in the Wii VC game and no its not to do with my game but just tech limitations.
I agree with your Wind Waker point however. But overall, OOT and Link to the past are considered the peak of the Zelda Franchise and even if they age badly, they are still considered the best.

Nostalgia is something you feel when you havent played it in ages and it takes you back to the past. Ocarina of Time has amazing level design, music and controls, I never found anything wrong with it. Plenty of exploring too unlike SS. SS killed it for alot of people who HATE motion. Here is hoping they do traditional controls for wiiU zelda. Atleast have motion for those that like that and traditional like old timers like me ;)
Yes the framerate of OOT is choppy but hey so was metal gear solid on 3ds and the last story on Wii :P and they are MODERN games. God help them in the future when we go over 60fps (yes I am exagerating)

OoT is still an excellent game. Also take into account the fat that those new Zelda games would be anything if it wasn’t for the precedents that OoT set. All console Zelda games after OoT are just modifications of the system it put in place.

I understand what you’re saying. Very few of the games from that gen are still really fun to play and hold up today, imo. OoT is one. Off the top of my head I would also call Star Fox 64, PSX Final Fantasys, Mario 64, the AKI wrestiling games(WCW/NWO Revenge etc)

Making money doesnt make you a better developer. And the controls were good, you’re just a stupid dick. Its the exact same control scheme as Kid Icarus, using the touch screen to aim. Did anyone have a problem with that? No. Or anyone that did was one of these idiots moaning about have a second circle pad so the system can be bombared with shovelware fps games, and inferior controls. Oh, and Hunters was made at the begining of the DS life cycle. This is the 3DS, which has great graphics, you could have a fps Metroid look almost as good as Prime 1.
Developers care about Money. Dont forget it is a business in the end. Do you have a job? If so, do you do it for fun or do you want to be paid for the work you do? I doubt you would work for free unless you have no choice as an Intern which I did many years ago to get where I am now.
If developers dont make money, they end up cancelling games (THQ springs to mind) and eventually go bust and jobs are lost (the good devs always find somewere to go). Just because YOU think Activison is shit… does not meant they are. Turok is not shovelware. But I stil wont buy it. There are far better shooters out there. This game aged badly. I recommend Halo (dont care what Nintendo fanboys say, the online is fantastic and always packed). Turok is good if u live with friends in a house since there is no online mode.

Holy crap, by all means bring Turok 2! I think that was a technical marvel back in the day. The AI and animations were superb, and still are.
