Not only does The Sun dislike the Nintendo 3DS, but it has already launched a scathing attack on Wii U before the console is due to launch. The publication has released an article titled Five Reasons Not To Buy Wii U. The Sun says that Wii U will be out-dated within a year, and is already facing extinction by the growing demand for smartphones and Apps. As with the somewhat recent remarks made by Roger Ebert about how Video Games will never be art, the one thing these journalists seem to forget is that, with an ever changing game marketplace, the consumer is ultimately who decides what’s what, and as far as mobile gaming, well, a 1080p display is ultimately useless when it’s 10 inches or smaller in size, and last time I checked, Nintendo has absolutely zero mobile device presence other than its own 3DS, and it is not in HD, unlike the WII U, and personally, I will pay 300 bucks for a system and 60 bucks a game to play 10 Masterpiece games compared to paying 99 cents a game of quickly made, low quality, simplistic games with no plot.

I domt own as many games for my Wii than i do for my ps3, and i havent played my Wii as much as the ps3, but that doesn’t make it any less of a console, and millions would agree with me. Yes, the Wii did attract a large casual audience, because thats a bad thing, but i bet you’ll never mention that Kinect and Kinect Adventures is the 360’s best selling product. But at the same time, the Wii DID have core titles, that in my opinion, are some of the games ive ever played.

The vita can at least from what i see simataniously disable an image at the same time as the ps3… When you go into remote play the ps3 screen is greeted with a black screen saying something on the Lines of remote play in progress… The vita wasn’t made that way… Not saying it can’t… Just saying right now it doesn’t…

– You can stream PS3 games to your Vita and play it there
– You can start playing on your PS3, stop, stream it to your Vita and continue playing on the way or somewhere else
– You can use your Vita as a controller for the PS3
– You can use your Vita to do unique things on PS3-games on the screen of the Vita
– You can play games online on your Vita together with people using a PS3

What the vita and ps3 CANNOT do is work like the full hom console the wiiu is . The ps3 cannot say Run a game on the tv and then stream it to the gamepad . it’s not possible on ps3 considering it struggles About 80% of the PS360’s catalog runs at Native 580p upscaled to 720p. 15% are native 720p. and less than 5% of PS3’s catalog runs at native 1080p and they are lowered to 30 FPS.

Why compare a console to a portable system? Vita is far more powerful than the GamePad as a standalone. The price is actually decent, it’s already sold out at most places in the US. I didn’t expect to pay less than $300. The only thing I see wrong with the price is that it doesn’t include a game (like Wii Sports). But otherwise, this magazine is just blowing shit out their mouth.

LOL wtf, yes its outdated by PC gaming standards, but in console standards it’ll take at least 3 years before it is insanely outdated. And how the fuck is mobile gaming a threat. I try to avoid accusing people of being bias (because after all, aren’t we all bias?), but it’s clear this guy would have issues with Nintendo even if they released the best console ever.
