European fans of the Scribblenauts series may not have to wait much longer for a Wii U version to crop up at retailers, as spotted on website Zavvi.com is a potential release date for Scribblenauts Unlimited. The long-awaited title has been involved in an uphill battle within Europe – first it was released on the eShop by mistake, then it was taken off due to unspecified reasons, plus there’s been difficulties with copyright infringement against the game developers and Warner Bros. – but now we have a rumoured date, and it’s listed for a release on July 26.
So far, no other UK retailer has listed the date on their websites, but if Zavvi’s listing is correct we could well be seeing this game coming to the eShop and other retailers by this summer. Scribblenauts Unlimited was released last November for the Wii U in North America, so let’s hope Europe can join in on all the scribbling action in July. Are you excited for this title’s release?

I was looking forward to this before the wii u launched. Maybe some of our friends over the pond could help if I asked if this is the best in the series so far? I haven’t played the others (not for lack of wanting…)
The first game wasn’t that good, well it was just “good” but very short. The second game was a lot better and longer too. I loved all the extra stages, some were very challenging. From what I’ve seen this game should be even better, people complain about not being able to use too much fantasy in the main puzzles though. You can create pretty much anything now, but most of it is for shit and giggles so it wont help you beat the game. But it’s still fun.

Ok these guys are releasing this game close to games like Pikmin 3 and the heavy hitting pokemon X and Y. Talk about misplaced priorities. Trying to sell a game when more gamers buy the Wii U. Not realizing that the games that are releasing to move Wii U numbers are first party gems really!

This is EMBARRASSINGLY late. Its like, 8 months, heck, november, release in july? thats nine. thats appauling. Im an Australian, so i did not have this issue, but still im quite shocked at how bad this is. Also, am i the only person who thinks Unmasked looks kinda bad? dont think i’ll be picking that one up.
I already bought it on Steam since I got impatient… -_-

When I get a Wii U I will still get Scribblenauts Unlimited once it is released over here but I bet the majority of people will either not care about this game anymore or will be to busy buying and playing newer, better games such as Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101 which I think are being released around the same time Scribblenauts Unlimited is released.
