  1. Looks amazing. Feel bad form the devs all the extra work and is not going to sell good in the wii u. This will be bad since ubisoft said that theyre just waiting to see how their games perform this year too see if theyll continue the support.
I will pick this up but i have a debate wether is ps3 or wiiu. Wii u looks great with gamepad and seems easy to operate. Good joob ubi.

  2. I’m surprised at how amazing this looks on the Wii U compared the PS360 versions. So the Wii U is weaker than the current gen consoles yet it can pump out better graphics? Ubisoft are awesome for sticking beside Nintendo :)

As for the rest of the companies using the whole “The console is weak” accuse to not develop for the Wii U… They are morons

    1. WiiU :

      Unreal engine 4 capable
      CryEngine3
Unity engine 4 specialty with direct X11 resources.
      Direct X11 equivalent specs.
      Uses 1/2 the ps3 and xbox360’s wattage.
GPGPU plus a high efficient CPU with tri cores. Each core more efficient than 2 PS4 cores.
Pikmin 3 cannot run on PS3, the PS3 being a beast.
X alone is more labor intensive than anything on the PS3.

Buy a WiiU trine 2 directors cut cannot run on PS3 or xbox360. Need you be educated a little more?

      1. Uhhh one problem with your argument here… I own a Wii U and I was just stating that some haters actually say the Wii U is weaker and so do many developers who couldn’t be able to get off their fat asses to do anything. I’m not hating the Wii U, as a matter of fact I’m the opposite. I think you need reading glasses or learn to read the whole sentence BEFORE tooting your own horn.

This actually looks really good, not a must have, but I’ll pick it up once it drops in price

      1. Except they dare gimped the Wii U version with no offline multiplayer. For a $60 intentional gimped port that is specifically to screw Nintendo, no thanks.

        1. Are you seriously retarded? It’s gimped because ONE mode isn’t here? And isn’t it enough to you that they delayed this game to port it on Wii U!

        2. Agreed, Stranga. “The wiiu difference” – one mode less, so fuck you very much. I’ll buy Rayman cos it seems to be the complete version. Won’t buy incomplete games again, as i did with fifa13

        3. Who gives a fuck if the Wii U version of Splinter Cell: Blacklist doesn’t have offline multiplayer or otherwise? Furthermore, this game is built from the ground up and added exclusive stuff that’s not on HD twins console. You’ve failed miserably due to the fact that Nintendo has NOTHING to do with that game. U mad because Ubisoft is one of the few third party publishers/developers who supports Nintendo and taking advantage of the Wii U hardware and more. Accept it!

            1. Des… YOU need to shut the fuck up. Just because Splinter Cell Blacklist doesn’t have offline multiplayer doesn’t mean that it’s overall lacking. You’re the one who’s fucking retarded and stop sucking Stranga’s broken wood.

            2. Buddy, this game’s from Ubisoft, not from EA. I bet they’ll even release the offline co-op as a free DLC later. Ubisoft really likes the Wii U. You should give the game a chance, I bet you won’t feel disappointed :)

          1. I give a fuck, and it’s exclusion is a reason why I’m going to get it on PC instead. If I can’t do local co-op I might as well just get the best version of it, which will be PC.

  4. i noticed straight away that the sexy wii u version has no screen tearing, and is fully v synced, which is some thing i love, i hate how on 360 90% of games have screen tearing, ps3 is not as bad when it comes to being v sync in games, some still do have screen tearing, but allot of games on ps3 are triple buffered, and so have no screen tearing, its one of my pet peeves, i hate screen tearing, it ruins the graphics and presentation of games, and 360 is a big sufferer when v sync is concerned, and boy on 360 which is mostly the footage we have all been seeing of splinter cell blacklist, and it has awful screen tearing, and so far wii u footage has none, i will have to wait for the digital foundry analysis of splinter cell black list before i decide which version to buy, will it be the PS3, 360 or wii u, i would prefer to get it on wii u, since i want to buy as many games as i can on wii u!

I also bought assassins creed 3 on wii u, and because it up scales to 1080p, compared to the PS3 version which is only 720p, for me i think it is the best version, i hate how allot of reviewer kept saying the glitches and frame rate was bad in the wii u version, it was not, for me it ran at a smooth 30fps constantly and i only ran into one glitch which was the stretchy arms of dead enemies, that’s it, the ps3 and 360 versions of ac3 had glitches too, and both the 360 and ps3 versions ran near enough at 30 fps too, with the ps3 versions at times kicking up to 45 fps, but for me, the wii u version was best, with the off tv game pad play, and with the game pad integration, and 1080p resolution, albeit not native, its native 720p and up-scales to 1080p, for me in my opinion, the wii u version was best, my brother had it on ps3, and the 720p only graphics looked worse then it did on wii u!

So for me, if indeed splinter cell black list is fully v synced with no screen tearing, compared to the 360 constant tearing, and if it has a decent enough frame rate, then with the game pad features it is easily the best console version to buy!
yes i know local co op is not available, but i am sure if it sells well they could easily just patch it in, the most important thing is we have all the online features, which is where the mercs vs spies mode shines!!
so people need to stop bitching, and support third party games on wii u, maybe then more third parties will give us more games, and not gimped versions, but fully fleshed out versions! SO GO OUT AND BUY IT PEOPLE!!!!

    1. No screen tearing on wii u, but the frame rate sucks…and is a pointless console, with the same money, i am going to buy a ps4 on November.
      Bye

  5. Why not do this kind of video for Watch Dogs? I seriously hope it’s not because the Wii U version is gimped or whatever and they want to get sales before people realize it.

    1. They’re probably going to show the Wii U version a week before launch, like with this game (it launches next week). I’m sure it’s not because the version is gimped or anything, they just like to wait.

    2. Watchdogs is still a way off. Splinter cell comes out in a few days.
I’m sure the Wiiu version will have some cool gamepad features!

  6. I gamer, shall be purchasing this game now. Ubisoft have cleared some quams I had. Though that will not stop me from emailing them to add two player offline by December via a downloadable patch.

  7. Something just occurred to me. I think that one of the reasons why the Wii U isn’t selling as well as other Nintendo consoles has sold is because the Gamepad is the only different looking thing about the Wii U. All of Nintendo’s past consoles had a unique look, and was different from the last. But the Wii U console itself basically just looks like another Wii for the most part. In fact, Nintendo never even showed much of the console itself at past E3’s etc. All they even did was show the Gamepad, as if that was the only new feature of the Wii U.

As for myself, I wasn’t AS excited over the Wii U as I was with any of Nintendo’s past consoles. And I think that’s party due to the console itself looking pretty much the same as a Wii. And I was always like “meh” to the Gamepad. The HD aspect is the only thing that excited me. Because it was Nintendo’s first HD console. And I myself have never owned or played an HD game before.

But still, lack of good games is the # 1 reason for the lack of sales.

  8. i have been sold on this game since i seen it at E3 but wow and i seen ign reviews for this game i believe they gave it a 9.1 that’s a high recommendation folks.

  9. why are people going on about it looking better than the X360/PS3 version, the WiiU is supposed to be competing with the X1 & PS4 !!!!!

do the gamepad features really offer that much though, i had this on order for my WiiU but had heard the game was not really shaping up to well, so i cancelled, the WiIU version will be more expensive from what i have seen also.

seeing this video has not really changed my mind.

  10. i hope i get assassins creed this year its just so many games on wii u i want. black list watch dogs sonic lost world assassins creed and mario 3d world damn i forgot donkey kong

  11. There’s also the fact that it’s the best controller since GameCube. Innovation is what truly decides what is next-gen and what is not, and considering the competition’s focus on… other areas (we’ll refrain from calling them Judases outright here) they’re the ones what are stuck in the past.

  12. For those of you who are saying that the Wii U is clearly the best version, I’d agree with you in terms of single player only.

Sadly, the online part of the package will be severely lacking compared to 360 and PS3.

I want this on Wii U hands down, but SvM is what has me the most excited about the game, and I don’t want to re-experience the days of Double Agent on 360 after everyone abandoned the game. As much as it kills me to not get this on WiiU, the communities on 360
and Ps3 will be far better.

Which really really makes me sad.

      1. He’s talking about the part where the online will be hard to find a match due to the low install base, so because of that Wii U will lack.

  13. I was not intending on getting Splinter Cell but now I will includ the Ubisoft collection with my Rayman Legends and Watchdogs. Question. How is 1gb doing all this?

    1. Well the only difference I am aware of from Xbox One and PS4 is that when compared to Wii U, is that The Wii U has less RAM and less cores and And is slower than the other Next GEN systems. Where the weed you exiles, compared to the other current systems Is that they remove the bottleneck where the CPU and GPU Run on two separate chips and run independently. The Wii U are on the same chip so it makes processing data faster. They can run instream data seamlessly rather then having to communicate through indirect ways. This also reduces heat. Both the Xbox One and PS4 shared this kind of single-chip set up as the Wii U. Not to mention all the next GEN systems can run each core independently. And only activates both cars when needed. That’s why the Wii U can handle those graphics so well.

    1. lol I bet you didn’t think you would have to struggle to pick a Wii U game to buy anytime soon did you? I think the hard times of a Wii U software drought are behind us.

  14. The gamepad is such a great tool. I wish/hope to see it embraced more! Mass Effect 3 was so much better on Wii U.

  15. So glad I pre-ordered this. I really like how they made good use of the Gamepad’s features. Here’s to hoping that we can get a patch for local multiplayer but if not I can live. Good job Ubisoft!
