Child of Light is focussed on the female protagonist Aurora and her coming-of-age story, where gameplay is inspired from titles such as Limbo and Final Fantasy VI. The game itself is based on a fairytale Japanese RPG and will have a turn-based combat system. By all accounts, this is one of Ubisoft’s smallest projects, uses the UbiArt Framework which was used in Rayman Legends and Origins, and a third of the developer team was female. Child of Light will be available for purchase on the Wii U eShop in the near future. Let us know what you think of the trailer in the comments below.

Ubisoft published the above trailer today, showing off the stunning artwork for the fantasy side-scroller, as well as a look at the in-game battles and a great dragon emerging from the depths of a dark cave.
