Here’s The LEGO Movie Videogame Trailer

Earlier this year, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced The LEGO Movie, which is due to hit cinemas in February 2014. Alongside the movie release, the publisher also announced that it would be launching The LEGO Movie Videogame for various platforms. Other than its initial announcement, we’ve not heard much in the media pipeline, but now Warner Bros. has published the game’s first trailer.

In the trailer above, you’ll play as Emmet – a perfectly ordinary LEGO figure mistaken for one named “The Special” who must save the world from an evil LEGO tyrant. Combined with the trademark LEGO humour, players will find 15 levels following events from the movie, and will experience animation never seen before in a LEGO game. Even Batman makes an appearance to a rather excitable Emmet, plus there’s catchy music with every mini figure bopping to the beat.

Warner Bros. hasn’t announced a release date as of yet, but we assume it will tie-in with the movie release early next year.  The LEGO Movie Videogame will launch for Wii U and 3DS, as well as other platforms.

  1. “Experience a game like no one other before” BEST sarcasm ever xD
I can make a couple similar. . . LEGO city undercover, LEGO batman 1 & 2, LEGO marvel superheroes, LEGO pirates of the caribben, LEGO STAR WARS 1 & 3, LEGO INDIANA JONES 1 & 2 . . . SO FUCK OFF I HAVE PLAYED THE SAME FUCKING SHIT FOR YEARS ADUDHDJSJDJDOFJDJDODJSJSO STUPID LEGO ASSHOLES.

        1. True. But it hurts seeing those games on the top in the UK each and every week. Why the hell do they buy the same game over and over? mean, I respect them liking the games, but seriously..!

  2. remember the good old games that weren’t the same sounds, the same mechanics, etc. like lego rock raiders and lego alpha team and lego racers :3

  3. Honestly, these games are really targeted toward children. If you’re having issues with repetitive gameplay through each game, then maybe you shouldn’t be playing lego games. I have a 4 year old who has played through the star wars games, harry potter, lord of the rings, marvel heroes, and Indiana jones. I think this will be a great game for him to own and play. Once he is a little older I’m sure he’ll grow out of this, but just remember, these are for kids.
