This week’s issue of MCV magazine arrived today and within it comes news that Nintendo has shifted two million Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo 2DS consoles in the United Kingdom. It falls short of the figure achieved by the Nintendo DS at this stage in its lifecycle, but it’s good going considering the competition from smartphones and tablets.

mmm this KH 3ds console looks delicious.
Good job 3DS, you finally got the respect you lacked in 2011. Hope it dies off soon. GO WII U
“Hope it dies off soon…” Seriously, you think there is only room for one Nintendo platform on the market? I don’t know why people think both the 3DS and Wii U can’t thrive together.
Nah, I prefer the Wii U, even though I have both. JOIN THE LEGION.
That was me. :P

That’s actually really good, considering the market we’re talking about.
That’s definitely below par for where the sales should be though. Every single kid should have a Nintendo 3DS. That’s what the situation was here with the DS, the GameBoy, etc. etc. Prove to kids that they need a 3DS as well as a tablet. They do – in fact they’ll find they use the 3DS more, as kids get bored of tablets very quickly. They just need to be sold it.
