Infamous Second Son developer Sucker Punch are renowned for including special easter eggs in their games, and their latest game doesn’t appear to be an exception. Reddit user Overstuffed Sofa stumbled across the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda while playing through the game. You can see it in all its glory, above.

Sony doesn’t lord it over their devs. On the whole, they usually give them tons of freedom. Sucker Punch always does little easter eggs from other games in their titles. Infamous 2 had CoD, Assassin’s Creed, and a bunch of others too.

I can see it, but it looks real different. I think the better master sword Easter egg is in South Park the Stick of Truth. A weapon called the elf blade is very clearly the master sword, except there’s no gem, the hilt is green instead of purple and of course no triforce design. But other than that it’s an exact metch.

There’s an item that looks a lot like the Master Sword in South Park also!
That looks nothing like the Master Sword aside from the color of the handle and the little diamond shape near the base of the blade.
The tip is split, the length of the blade is not only the wrong color but also has a long runnel down it, and the hilt has a demon’s face inset.
There’s also no noticeable gem set into the sword anywhere.
I think whoever made the comparison to the Master Sword is stretching things way too much, here.

It’s a homage. Sucker Punch never does exact replicas of other game characters, names, or items for easter eggs in their games unless it’s a SCE first party game.

I just came across this, pretty awesome. It’s in the boss fight against He Who Dwells, about mid-way through the game. You’ll see it laying on the floor in the area outside the boss area. Completely missable, but cool if you do spot it!
