IGN has lifted the lid on the pricing for the Smash Bros Gamecube controller and the bundle. The GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U will retail in the US for $19.99. The Smash Bros Gamecube controller will retail for $29.99. Nintendo also announced a special bundle which includes a copy of Smash Bros, one adapter, and a Gamecube controller for $99.99. The Wii U version of Smash Bros launches this winter.

Hmm I’ll stick with the gamepad, but will probably get the adapter for my friends. An extra 20-30+ for an obsolete game controller…I’ll use the ones I have.
Obsolete? It is the best controller for smash. Everything is in place and feels perfect. Size and shape of buttons, placement, everything. Pro Controller is great, but I don’t I already can tell a gamecube just feels far more natural for smash. The buttons on the pro feel cheaper than the “obsolete” controller and has no vibration or touch sensitivity on the shoulder buttons. It’s wireless and has a better d-pad. Oh and four shoulder buttons. Those are two things it has over the cube, wave bird is wireless but clunky I feel. D-pad is only for taunting though. So smashwise at least, gamecube controller is far from obsolete in my opinion.

There is rumble in the pro controllers. Turn it on via controller options in home menu. I have one. Gamecube rumble is a bit better though.
Lol typos typos everywhere. And what I meant by that is most people who love the gamecube still have everything. I still have all my controllers, if anything for the ones who don’t the price range should be 15-20 considering its two generations old. That’s what I meant by obsolete.
Honestly speaking if the gamepad is awkward I’ll be using gamecube as well.
It’s not obsolete, people haven’t ever stopped using the controller for Smash or anything else that was on the Wii last generation that was compatible with it. It is one of the gaming community’s favorite controllers.

If you’re putting out a new controller, make it wireless.
In tournaments there will be hundreds of controllers. Wireless controllers interfere with each other at that scale.
It makes the controller cheapest to sell. Plus it ensures the connection. You wouldn’t want to be fighting in the game and then find that your controller runs out of power now would you.
Let me educate you for your non researching ways. Wired for stability in tournaments. Wave bird is wireless.

I’ll be getting that bundle for the special Super Smash Brothers GCN controller. Depending on how using the Gamepad for SSB 4 Wii U feels, I might not use the GCN controller too much. I’m still hoping we get Gamecube virtual console at some point.
