Nintendo has teased that a “few special surprises” regarding the next Super Smash Bros. will be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con. The company is also planning to host the first-ever tournament for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS during the upcoming convention, which runs from July 24th to July 27th. The fighting game tourney will be live-streamed on Nintendo’s Twitch page.

We don’t need mode reveals. They need to announce all of the characters first, then focus on modes.
There are two types of Smash Bros players. Online and couch players. Nobody does anything other than fight in battle modes.
Look at PlayStation All-Stars. That game only had Arcade, Free Battle, and Online Mode, and it was better than Smash Bros, Melee, and Brawl combined.

Depends on your definition of challenging. You can change the difficulty, but I wouldn’t do that if I were you. You need to swing the Wiimote around to attack and unless you want to end up breaking down your whole house, I would recommend staying on the easier difficulty. The Wiimote will tire you out enough as it is. :P

Nintendo owns one of the Percy Jackson characters and is excusive to the DS excusive Lighting Thief. so most likely Disney will ask Nintendo to put Isaac in Smash Brothers in some way, since the Percy Jackson Books/ Movies/ video game is popular and the books are published by Disney and now have the video game rights

I don’t know who created the term “4th party” but that literally makes no sense. So if DBZ had games before the manga or TV show, he’d have a chance? Why? The whole point of the show is fighting. I’m not against Goku nor do I care enough for him to be in, but that’s kind of a silly reason to exclude characters.
The fact that his show is about fighting actually decreases his chances of getting in, as Bob Jones Jr. II pointed out. Besides, that has nothing to do with who gets in (Villager, ROB, Wii Fit Trainer…).

Villager & Wii Fit Trainer are video game characters. Life simulation & Fitness video games are still video games. As for ROB, he was created by Nintendo so that gives him every right to get in. Goku neither started off in video games nor was he created by Nintendo. Same with Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris, Spawn, The Violater, The Crow, Mickey Mouse, Obama, Hitler (as much as I’d love to be able to pummel his fucking face in a video game,) Stalin, Napoleon, etc etc.
I know, I was just using them as examples to show that coming from a fighting game doesn’t give you priority in the roster.
My reasons are that he just does not deserve to be in a game mashing up VIDEO GAME characters to fight each other.

First off: Namco/Bandai already has representation in the game (Pac-Man) so they won’t be getting any more.

Not unless he reveals the release date to before late November. A late October release date would be a pretty big surprise. And we shouldn’t think of a big surprise or otherwise a lot of people will get pissed if it’s not their guess since they built up too much hype for the reveal.
I see your point, but its still only for fun. When Lucina and Robin were announced people got pissed expecting someone they wanted. No matter if someone participates in this game or not, if someone doesn’t get what they want they will be pissed. There will always be complainers, no stopping that, but lets try to be positive and continue the Smash hype. :)

How bout this… They introduce a boss battle mode. Like, where you play as bosses from several different games. They can be huge and much bigger than normal characters. Ridley can be one of the bosses and he can get in Smash while still be his awesome good old self. And nobody will complain.
Fuck no. I hate characters relegated to just one mode. Just because you need a character to be some giant monster to feel badass & threatening doesn’t mean it’s a fact that he’ll only be that way as a giant monster.
But I said several different bosses. Not just Ridley. That would also give you the chance to play as many other boss characters that wouldn’t normally work well in the main game. Just imagine it being like playing Smash with the Super Mushroom item.
If I can’t have fun using him to beat up every single character in the game while playing with other people, I’d rather not get the character in the game at all. This is why once I’ve unlocked every trophy that can only be unlocked by clearing certain modes with the Mii Fighter, it’s going to lose it’s fun factor unless I’m able to play with friends only online.
I’m worried that the 3DS version of Smash Bros. is going to cause me to feel burned out when the Wii U version is released. And I’m going to feel as if I’ve already played it. I hope I’m wrong.
