It has come to light that the Wii U version of Disney Infinity 2.0 runs at a lower resolution than the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. It’s not readily apparent why this is. Hopefully Disney will explain why the Wii U gets the raw deal.

It’s probably best you don’t get it anyway. AC3 has been claimed as one of the worst in the series and even I will admit it bored the heck out of me on some parts. Although I think 75% of the game is still awesome. I’m one of the few that actually like 3. Most other people seem to say 4 is better. I’ve played through 3 and based on your comments and from what I’ve played, you are definitely not going to enjoy it. If you want one, skip and get 4. Because getting three would only add fuel to the flame and it would give you an excuse to say the whole series is boring. XD But that’s not true. Only a few of them are. I would recommend getting Unity or something since they are changing a crapload of stuff in that one and remaking the experience. You can’t even use the “counter” button anymore. (That used to block attacks from guards in the other games) You literally have to act like an Assassin. That kind of upsets me though because I’m gonna miss beating up entire groups of guards. :( Oh well, the series needed a change anyway. XP

Your comment is correct only when applying the multiplat paradigm, doom of consoles themselves, & discount Nintendo’s catalog, Amiibos, QoL, & their warchest.
Otherwise, Wii U will be supported @ least until the beginning of the 9th gen. Nintendo has a lot in common w/ SEGA, but they’re more prudent concerning consoles. & power? It’s relative, & can be harmful in the wrong hands. Most 3rd parties are powerdrunk & have yet to enhance gameplay, instead favoring hardcore audiovisuals, off-the-shelf innards, & a form of interactive entertainment that has less & less to do w/ gaming. Sony & MS are clearly uninterested in releasing consoles, & they began phasing them out in the 7th gen. Multimedia boxes for multimedia companies; gaming is but a fraction of their business model.
Wii U has been misunderstood since Nintendo botches their marketing campaign & the “video games” industry has been overrun. Calling the majority of this & last gen industry consumers ‘gamers’ & the chart-toppers ‘games’ are actually gross misnomers. I’m not saying enjoying such interactive entertainment is wrong, per se, just not what real video games are about. All the elements are still there, but the appropriate ratios are imbalanced. Want great stories? Far deeper & inexpensive than interactive movies? Read novels. Watch films. Wanna play video games? Demand that 3rd parties return to making them the center of their focus. It’s should be embarassing for them when lower budgets can produce some of the best video games ever, & real ones to boot.
Except games like Xenoblade, Last Story, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, Metroid. They tend to have a good balance between story & gameplay.

I’m guessing its exactly what they’re planning while they’re throwing Amiibo support for other games as a temporary satisfaction.
It’d be awesome if this is the case. Not only would the amiibos be useful for a lot of different games but would also have a game that is built around them.
I think that’s their long term plan with Amiibo.
Square Enix could really help themselves out if they did the figurine thing with Kingdom Hearts. Preferably for a spin off, though.
That could help make KH bigger after the main KH story is finished with the third game.
They won’t truly be done with the main Kingdom Hearts’ story, though. It will just be the end of the Xehanort crap. I think there is still loads more Square Enix can do with Kingdom Hearts if they really work at it & don’t try to derail it the same way they derailed Final Fantasy.
But what I don’t understand is why KH3 is going to Betamax DOne instead of Nintendo Wii U when KH fanbase had already expanded and established itself with Nintendo not Xbox plus Xbox (Betamax) itself doesn’t fit well with RPG games when its mostly catering to an orgy of garbage shooters and sports. That partially why its an epic fail in Japan because Xbox only caters to shooters and sports. That’s it, oppose to Nintendo and Sony who offer a wider variety.

Despite what a lot of people say, I still think FFXIII looks great. Played the demo and it was great. And I like the characters especially Lightning. And idk wtf FFXV is but it looks awesome too I guess. Never played a MGS game before in my life. I think MGSV: GZ (the $30 demo lol) will be my first one to get into the experience. It’s really short, yeah. But it’s the prologue to Phantom Pain. PP is so huge that you won’t even know what the heck you’re doing unless you played GZ or are just an experienced MGS player.

Technically, Metal Gear Solid started on PlayStation. A few years later, it was ported to PC. The GCN remake Twin Snakes was the 1st Metal Gear Solid title to release on a Nintendo console. However, MGS: Ghost Babel came before on a Nintendo handheld (GBC). Ghost Babel played more like the original series, & was predominately filled w/ gameplay. The only other MGS title on a Nintendo platform is Snake Eater 3D on 3DS.
But Metal Gear was released 1st on home computer, a few months before releasing on NES. Eventually, it also release on MS-DOS (even Microsoft hosted this game near the end of the 3rd gen), Commadore 64, phone, GCN, PS2 & 3, Xbox 360, & Wii VC. Metal Gear 2, however, remained a home computer exclusive until it made its way to phones in late 2004, afterwards various consoles, including Wii VC (JPN-only).
Final Fintasy did start on a Nintendo console. It was supposed to be Squaresoft’s last game but ended up saving them. Now? I wonder if the franchise is strong enough to save Square-Enix this time.
Actually, Metal Gear was released on the MSX2 in July 7, 1987 & went to the NES at the end of the year on December 22nd.
Because Square Enix is on the verge of being in the same shitty position Capcom is in, so they ported it to the Xbox One in the hopes it will sale millions.

It may just be laziness or even Amiibo is the cause for Disney Infinity 2.0 to not be as perfect as the other versions. Truth is the only third party company Nintendo still has is Sega. The Sonic games may not be what people find to be great, But you gotta appreciate that Sega has been pretty loyal to Nintendo, Almost Rare Loyal at that. and Do their best at Wii U games.
Do they even ‘try’ to optimize?
I honestly believe that they do not. Unfortunately we are living in the day and age of what is also to be called the “Good enough revolution”. This phenomenon is very well documented in different expert & popular articles and analysis. Sadly, this extends to the game development as well.
Seems like Nintendo’s “Please understand” approach is one of the last remaining bastions that protects the quality standards in product development. I know, it sounds cheesy, but there, I said it.
