Apex has announced via Twitter that they’re teaming up with Nintendo for Apex 2015 with Super Smash Bros. It should be noted that this is listed as a partnership rather than just traditional sponsorship. It’s great to see Nintendo finally teaming up and embracing companies that are bound to bring them plenty of promotion.

This makes more sense on why project M was not at Apex.
Another reason why Project M wasn’t at Apex is because it’d cost alot to feature multiple Smash Bros. games.
You mean that mod the bad players made when they realized that they could no longer win any fights since they couldn’t exploit the physics engine anymore?
I modded the game too. Just not project M’s. people do it to get more enjoyment out of it not cheat. Speeding up the combat and getting rid of tripping is great. Also adding personal cosumes and stages is cool too. Though I wasnt a fan of melees air dodge so I kept brawls.
And you mean to tell me that the “bad” Brawl players don’t exploit the game either when they’re doing DACUS and other AT?
I’m glad that Nintendo is starting to get looser and expand a bit.
While there’s no Project M, the fact that Nintendo is involved is a step further for competitive Smash sice Melee will be playable.
Great news. Glad to see Nintendo putting some solid effort behind supporting the game for the long haul.
As a competitive player, this is really surprising. When Nintendo announced the invitational and the announcement of letting us have melee at Evo, I thought that Nintendo would stop just because it was enough to market the new game. Good job Nintendo on not being a stupid company <3
