Nintendo America Says There Will Be More Gold Mario Amiibo At Walmart On Day Of Release

Nintendo of America has reassured amiibo collectors that they will still be able to pick up the Gold Mario amiibo at Walmart stores on launch day, which is March 20th. The Gold Mario amiibo pre-orders sold out within fifteen minutes which left many fans feeling a little frustrated. However, Nintendo says there will be more stock on launch day, so be sure to queue up early if you want one.

Thanks, Rubberyen

        1. NO
          60 vs 13x##
It’s around 60 vs 600, in 12 months it could become 60 vs 1000 and more, collectors are stupid

    1. I am waiting for someone to replace the Golden cattle in 12 commandments movie with a Gold Mario Amiibo.

  1. Nintendo Lieutenant Cereza

I was just thinking about how much cheaper it must be to paint all of these gold rather than having to add all the intricate designs.

    1. Not even pre-orders are guaranteed. At least, not with Best Buy. They had no record of my Meta Knight pre-orders. So my niece and brother didn’t get one because of their incompetence.

I had no idea Dell sold Nintendo Games. Next you’ll tell me that they accept Paypal. That’ll be the day. Hehehe…

      1. They sell almost all big video games and for new games they seem to always offer gift cards. Pretty good deal if that’s all you buy. After about 5-6 games, you’ll have enough to get a free game.

A con about Dell is that at times they cancel your order and even worse, they’ll do it at the last minute because they take in too many preorders.

        1. It’s GameStop they probably raised the price to make an extra $10 thinking no one would know it’s incorrect. I didn’t know it was going to be $50 at first either, so I’m sure there are others who will buy it at that price being uninformed.

          1. Well, it definitely confused me. I was there when Kirby Rainbow Curse was out and apparently they didn’t take away the $60 price. In fact, they still had a sign telling to pre order Majora’s Mask. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of their uniformed employees actually sold the game off to someone for a full $60.

  2. Unrelated, but is anyone here good at smash? I’m tired of playing scrubs on FG, and I want a challenge. If anyone is interested my NNID is “Danntheman1776”.

  3. I’m sure there will be plenty of stock. Just like for Lucario, Rosalina, Mega Man, Little Mac, Meta Knight and such.

Yeah…not falling for that anymore. I love Nintendo and I love the Amiibo line, but I’m not making special trips just to be disappointed anymore. If you want my money have a decent selection readily and steadily available. If you can’t swing that then there are plenty of other things to buy.

  4. Why can’t, don’t, or won’t Nintendo make sure there are more amiibo at launch day of characters people actually care about like Marth, C. Falcon, etc.?

I’m adding to my collection slowly but surely, but right now I still think Nintendo is treating amiibo like a joke or afterthought.

  5. I feel sad for the guy that bought somebodys preorder for 100 bucks on ebay when he can just go to walmart on march 20th and get one for 13 bucks.
