      1. You wouldn’t have been able to anyway- the product registration page specifically said the New 3DS cannot be registered.

      2. You weren’t able to register those, anyway. Anything that was released after the announcement that Club Nintendo was shutting down didn’t have a code.

        >>>You said you were done with Nintendo Sonyan, now go and play your Sonyan machine and if you ever subscribe to the PS+ or whatever it’s called I’ll know about it>>>

            >>>Silence Sonyan, I don’t have any PS or Xbot abominations and never will have>>>

            1. Thank you. :) BTW, do you have a download promotion for Mewtwo? If not and if you have one or two SSB4 games, I can spare you a code as payback for your favor. :) I think one of the codes works for both versions, like a crossbuy thing so I wouldn’t need the other code I got as back up.

                  1. The Wii U code would be neat to have if you haven’t given it away yet. I’d gladly take it and you would be glad knowing it had a loving home. =)

                      1. You were offering a couple codes for Mewtwo, one for the Wii U and one for the 3DS, and I was asking for the Wii U version if you still had it so that I could provide a loving home for Mewtwo.

                          1. Gotcha. Well, if and when you do and you don’t need the Wii U version, I’ll gladly help.

I don’t own a 3DS, so buying one and then also the 3DS version of the game just for the Mewtwo code was too expensive for me.

            2. I hate saying this, but you could always sell your code and use the money to buy a game you want. It looks like the platinum games are about $30, so you could easily get $25.

You could always sell your code. Pick whichever game you think will sell and put it up on ebay. That’s what I’ve been doing. You have to be careful with codes though. DO NOT leave a review until after THEY do. It’s like a stand-off. Some sellers will wait for you to leave an irreversible review and claim that the code doesn’t work, demanding a refund. And since there isn’t any proof of transaction, you have no choice to refund them or receive a strike on your account. But in anycase, a $60 will easily sell for $29.99, though you could probably sell for higher.

                    1. I'm a Boss Ass Bitch

I know. You were addressing your robotic hooker. Sorry for being the fucking third wheel of your cybernetic affairs.

                1. Agreed, I’m getting a game cause I don’t have some of those, but it’s still fucked. I want some physical like they used to give out. Hell a MK8 soundtrack would’ve been perfect…

            1. They’re hurting financially. Last fiscal year they only managed to barely turn a profit because of shifts in the value of the dollar and yen. Those physical rewards aren’t free to make and ship and, since a lot of people were hoarding their codes, there are probably more platinum members this year than ever.

            1. I understand your frustration! I bought a bunch of games over the last few years, and didn’t even know of club nintendo. When I joined two months ago, most of the codes I found in my old games were too old (expired) to get coins for. So I never even made it to any rewards, but I think I would have been really frustrated to have spent all this time doing surveys for Nintendo, and then getting blown off at the end. Perhaps someone in your family or some of your friends will trade you for it or just be really grateful for it! Then at least you feel like you got something out of it. I hear that super galaxy 2 is really good, even if it’s a bit old. Or you could do a download backup of that or DK tropical Freeze or another good game, that you might only have a physical copy of. They always end up scratched (mine do anyway), so from now on I’m doing downloads only. Just trying to make you feel better :)

          1. Even If I’m ok for DK tropical freeze, Nintendo America are the Champion of “We don’t care about our fans”. I mean, for a big event like the LAST platinium reward, for all those game that WE bought and all those point collected… it’s a very sad and lame reward. I wish it was something physical. But no. “Please understand”.

            1. Tropical Freeze is the only thing here I’m interested in, having just finished Returns 3D yesterday. But, it’s 11+ gigs and I only have 6 available…

I really don’t think they thought this all the way through…

          2. …down for maintenance…

I still haven’t play the game from last years reward. I own most of these aleady. Something sad about getting a 5-10 dollar VC game when you were offered MK7. I prefer physical rewards, but if their goibg to go digital- how bout eshop credit

          3. I really hoping for a good game for Wii U :\ I was hoping they would give us Wonderful 101 again as a platinum status reward but the only thing there I want from the rewards list is Mario Kart 7 that’s for 3DS. I got Kid Icarus Uprising from my CN coins and my backlog for 3DS has been growing ever since while my Wii U doesn’t have much. Oh well, guess I’m going to have to make do with what they have.

              1. I’m sure Tropical Freeze is a great game for many, but I’m not a fan of Donkey Kong sadly. Platformers are easily forgettable for me and I’m not a fan of the insanely challenging games. I can guarantee myself that I’ll play it for a while and then never play it again, which would be a sad waste of a highly praised game.

                1. I feel the same way about DK platformers, but it’s the best deal on their for me and everything else I either have or don’t piqué my interest.

              1. Yes, but I spent my only 700 coins on Kid Icarus Uprising thinking that Club Nintendo would give Wonderful 101 for free as a platinum status reward, so I thought I may get something big for both my Wii U and 3DS.

          4. How hard would it have been for them to give us a silver mario or mewtwo amiibo as the final physical reward. Both would have corasponded well with what nintendo is bring out and finally give us a ray of hope for the epic scalper screwing weve all been getting on amiibo, by allowing us “the fans” to get something they cant.

            1. I have been platinum every year they have done this. I was hoping since Nintendo was profitable and that it was the last year we would get something on par with the first or second year (mario plush hat and mario figure display). An exclusive amiibo would have been great for this.

Can’t wait to see what Europe and Asia get.

          5. Already have most of those, only one would be the DKTF.
But I can’t get it because Nintendo shafted me and I couldn’t fix my wii u (which had nothing really broken, it just couldn’t find any gamepad) and I don’t want to pay for another Wii U even though I’ve been waiting for xenoblade X since 1998.

          6. I think these are great rewards. They said it would be virtual games months ago. Last year we only had 2 real retail games (returns 3ds, and game and wario.) We have at least 7 this year, and good other ones (galaxy 2, nes remix). without spending any coins I get new leaf, and can use my coins for uprising Or wonderful 101. Quit whining, please.

          7. This is why I didn’t even bother trying to get platinum this year. Last year’s rewards were a revelation of things to come.

I’d rather have cheap pins than these rewards. If this is what we have to look forward to with Club Nintendo’s successor, I’m not even going to bother.

            1. If you’ve never played Yoshi’s Island, I suggest that. It’s a platformer that has aged surprisingly well. Cute painterly art style and fun gameplay as a whole. Definitely worth the 200 coins (or as a gold reward). It’s a classic’

          8. Huh… I might have to use my platinum reward on a gold game… That’s kinds lame…

But, at least I might get some decent classics out of my family’s 600 coins. That’s a solid 4 games right there, if you include the platinum reward.

          9. Dk: Tropical Freeze or Yoshi’s New Island? I heard DK was very good, and while I don’t necessarily like DK I heard it was a good game with an amazing soundtrack. I heard Yoshi New Island was easy too…

            1. “Very good” might be a bit of an overstatement. It’s not the best DK game, but better than most non-indie platformers. But, I mean, it is the lesser of two evils, I suppose.

            2. Nintendo Lieutenant Cereza

I’m Getting Tropical Freeze so as to even out my Libraries. I have more games on my 3DS than on my Wii U.

              1. That’s definitely true for me as well. I have 30 3DS titles (excluding eshop titles) and only 10 Wii U games. I just got Story of Seasons for the 3DS too, so Tropical Freeze would put some life back in my Wii U.

              1. Haha, don’t worry Im clearing space for it as we speak. The game is huge, but a $60 game for free is a good bargain. :)

          10. I was hoping there would be an extra special reward for those who have reached Platinum every year, but what was I thinking? This is Nintendo we’re talking about.

            1. Same here. Would not be surprised if Japan club Nintendo does something. Lets face it, Nintendo of Amerca could care less about the fans. They wouldn’t want to give fans anything scalpers couldn’t get to first.

          11. I’m thinking the tote bag, 3ds holder and puzzle were going to be the platinum rewards, but Nintendo decided to switch things up. I think the games they’re offering are decent, and I’m super pleased with the poster and case I was able to order with my coins. Sad to see club Nintendo go, but glad it’s getting replaced with something at least.

          12. I have everything else that I want except Tropical Freeze, but its file size is 12 gigs and I only have 6 gigs available on my system and don’t have the budget for an external hard drive right now.

Why couldn’t Mario 3D World have been an option? I had the space for that…

          13. ughh, its down to mario party or animal crossing to me, which to get?
I was really hoping for a physical reward. :/

                1. I didn’t even touch those because the car mechanic turned me away so much, but Island Tour is either very boring or excessively luck-based. The single-player mode, Bowser’s Tower, isn’t even challenging and can be beaten once in only about an hour or so (though if you lose a minigame, you have to sit through ENTIRE cutscenes when trying again, making the process longer), there are no 2-on-2 or 3-on-1 minigames, and many minigames are either forgettable or there are so many clones of each other (there are around 6 variations of “knock everyone else off the field” minigames”).

                  Got. Old. Fast.

          14. I just fucking bought Tropical Freeze and it’s the most enticing game on this list. What kind of bullshit is this? Goodbye, Club Nintendo. Glad you’re fucking leaving.

            1. Just so you know MP: IT isn’t the original MP formula either. It’s pretty fun though, especially the minigames, and there are a lot of unique boards and play styles. :)

                1. No, but it doesn’t have you obtaining stars either. It’s like your normal board game with players trying to rush to the finish line, but each board has a spin on this mechanic. Like in one board you have to get a perfect number to finish the board. There’s one board that’s a 100 spaces long, but one wrong space or last place in a mini game will automatically put you in last place. Also there aren’t item shops and the only items are special dice. And one board is unplayable UNLESS you’re having local play. It’s not horrible for free, but don’t expect MP2-8 goodness. I don’t recommend it because it’s a game you won’t really come back too, but it’s all on the player. :)

                2. Rest assured, Island Tour does NOT feature the car mechanic. However, most of the boards are instead linear, race-to-the-finish-style boards, each with varying mechanics- you won’t be scurrying to get the most stars except for on one map, though you still need to cross the finish line to contend.

If you’re getting Island Tour mostly for single-player, DO. NOT. DO IT. The single player experience in IT is one of the worst in MP series history.

                  1. I just hope it’s not as disappointing as I feared. Out of all the games left from Club that I haven’t gotten yet, I rather pick that over Golf, New Island or Sticker Star.

          15. Mmhh the ones I like I already have, and then there are some that I might think are okay, so I’m not really excited. Wish they offered eShop Credits. Especially since the biggest supporters probably already have most of these games and therefore less to choose from.

          16. I envy you people so much, while you are all complaining about this and that, we don’t have a club nintendo or even a nintendo support on our country anymore. Please, enjoy what you have..

            1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

              >>>It’s useless to talk to them with logic or even illogical terms my friend, spoiled vermin is that they are and useless to the empire>>>

          17. Another lackluster effort from Nintendo to try to please the fans. Disappointing, but again not surprising.
I’m glad I didn’t try to get more coins in order to reach Platinum, because the choices here are pitiful, and it’s completely ridiculous how the GBA titles are only on the Wii U. Really, Nintendo? REALLY?
Looks like I’ll be selling a code on ebay.

          18. There’s traffic in CN? Really? What’s the rush? It’s not like the rewards are physical items that you’d rush to nab one before it runs out. I’ll pick one later when I’m bored.

          19. Yes, I am thankful for having Club Nintendo in Canada.
Yes, I have fun playing Nintendo games.
Yes, I will support the company for many, many years to come.

But this as a final send off for Club Nintendo? Absolutely ridiculous. Here’s the crux of the problem:
All of the games I want, I already own – that’s why many of us (including myself) are platinum members!! A rare amiibo/exclusive for Club Nintendo users would’ve been nice. Some CD soundtracks as an offer? (3D World & Galaxy come to mind). Giving us the option of being a part of their Ambassador program for a calendar year. Any of the physical rewards that they are offering to cash in would’ve been cool too. Additionally, Nintendo sends a lot of cool gifts to various people on YouTube (for promotion purposes, obviously), but there are tons of fans who buy just as many, if not more, Nintendo games and licensed merchandise. It would be nice to see that being recognized. And look, I wouldn’t even care if it took them until December to send me my physical reward because of demand/production. I’d happily wait.

Digital games as a choice feel lazy and “cheap” (for lack of a better word). My problem with digital games is that I only purchase digital games for games that I will play for a long time (Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 7). To be honest, I think they offer these games as downloads to pad their sales stats for the investors. (OMG we had 1 million downloads of Yoshi’s New Island! … Yeah, more than half were for free).
Unfortunately, my only real choice is Yoshi’s New Island, and I can see myself playing it once, and never again. (Yes, I could sell, as mentioned before, but I don’t trust selling a digital code on eBay, as opposed to a physical copy of a game).
I took Dillon’s Rolling Western last year as my Platinum reward.

          20. I’m glad Club Nintendo is ending. They gave nothing buy garbage rewards for the last 2 years. I can’t believe they aren’t offering any physical Platinum rewards AGAIN! I even helped my niece to achieve Platinum. And for THIS? Digital crap? I guess I can’t complain, since I cheated to reach Platinum most of the time. Piss on you Nintendo. You can keep your digital crap!

          21. I have about 1000 coins and Platinum, it’s impossible to log in though. I can occasionally get to the final step of getting the gift and then it doesn’t load…
