Japan: Nintendo 3DS Sells 26K, Wii U Sells 11K

The latest charts are in from Media Create, and Nintendo dominates the charts with all but one place belonging to either the Nintendo 3DS or Wii U. However, overall it hasn’t been a great week with software and hardware sales both generally declining and with no new releases. Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition remains on top, after its debut in the top spot last week. Wii U sales have dropped back down, but still remain higher than the 6K they’ve previously been for a while. Take a look at the chart for yourself!

                >>>Once you’ve found out the truth about the Quantum Gravitational Stars you humans call “Black Holes” then we’ll see if all those 4 important human tools still applies or not>>>

          1. I’m not talking about the top-20, if you noticed that.

            Also, if they are buying it digitally or phisically, this does not explain Cerveza’s logic.

          Quite the opposite. I’m implying that people who’ve long since been on the fence about the Wii U have finally started taking the plunge. Straight into the warp pipe.

          1. How can you put out such an intrincate rationale based on just two numbers?

            You should be queued for the next Nobel Prize.

    1. Its japan not really surprised, the ps4 really isn’t going to really sell until FFXV comes out. Then after that console sells will go low again…Aleast they aren’t the xboxone…

      1. It had a big drop though. I was hoping it would be able to hold on for at least three weeks with the release of Xenoblade and Dragon Quest X. If not the number 1 spot, at least number 2.

        Regarding your statement to the PS4 – the sad thing is, while PS4 isn’t doing massive numbers it has been holding pretty steady, even without any software releases.

          I’m glad Xenoblade X is shipping as many consoles as it is. I kind of enjoy the niche audience as it is. The other nations can keep their screaming COD kids.

    2. So all those Nintendo games and the 3DS running the top 20 and all you can say is the WiiU drop. All it’s simply G, forgot its Sony land for you. How have you been fellow blogger? I am well playing the WiiU with the best game line up of the three home consoles, getting a PS4 next year when prices drop and Last guardian is the limited edition console exclusive bundle.

      F=ma.

  1. I wish they did this well everywhere, they deserve it but those Xbots and Sonyvets are good about spreading false rumors, and telling people that Nintendo is for babies. ‘Sigh’ all the weak are turned by their foolish ways.

  2. What I can’t understand is that I didn’t see any PS4 titles on the top 20 mostly Wii U and 3ds. What the heck, you mean to tell me that people buy PS4s and then don’t buy games. Either that or the 11,000 who bought Wii Us are really committed. I think it’s both. The Wii U does come out with great games and almost every single one could be considered a must buy. The PS4 however…

    1. Do the companies usually disclose the attachment rates? Those numbers matter as much as the absolute number of SKUs sold.

  3. 10k+ 2 Weeks in a row. Not bad for the Wii U in Japan. Considering it’s usually 6K a month.
    A nice solid fight between the New 3DS LL and the Playstation Vita, but the New 3DS LL just beats it out. I like a good solid battle for first. But overall, with the other 3DS models added together, it beats it by a little more.
    Also, that Top 20 yo.

    Mario Kart 8 will surpass 1 Million in Japan before E3. Mark my words…

    1. Vita has never been in 3DS domain. The 3DS is a beast. A beast I tell you. It is all elementary my dear Watson.

      F=ma.

  4. Sony Emperor Xperia

    PS4 SHOULD OUTSELL LIFETIME SALES OF WII U BY JUNE,THEN NINTENDO WILL HAVE TAKEN A “L” WORLDWIDE

    LOSING TO PS4 WORLDWIDE.

    1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

      >>>We are patient, we are just waiting for you little people to spend every resource available to you on the best specs your money can buy for every generation until one day, the word L will be the least of your problems>>>

    2. How when the WiiU sells at a profit. Sony shall forever be in Nintendo’s shadow. Nintendo’s IPs alone can sell their consoles. Sony and Microsoft have to pay third parties premiums.

      F=ma.

      1. Sony has been making a profit off of the PS4 and PlayStation division. The whole conglomerate is on an upturn.

        And what “third party premiums” are you talking about?

  5. Nintendo taking top spots in their country again. I only wish that we could get all the games Japan gets.
