I like it. I’m glad Nintendo didn’t try to go overboard with the art style. The Inklings in their humanoid form on the cover art and their squid form on the disc art……….nicely done Nintendo
Sometimes looking at art just isn’t worth losing the game or scratching it though.
I will never understand how someone loses a game disc lol… And scratching it is only your own fault (unless you have a faulty system).
Digital games are either for people who are irresponsible or don’t care about physical copies. Which is fine.
But don’t forget, the moment you buy a digital game, it instantly lost all value. And if it’s crap, too bad – you can’t sell it.
Physical is much better in my opinion.
I just find digital to be much more convenient. All my games in one place without taking any extra space in the room. I thought I would’ve liked to go physical for this generation, but it’s looking kind of pointless to be honest. Games take up so much space after I install them on my PS4 that it isn’t even worth my time to get it from the store anymore. Not talking up so much space and saving memory used to be an advantage over digital for me. As for trading games in, I rarely ever do that. Even if I don’t like the game so that doesn’t bother me. That’s just my opinion.

I will buy physical for games I’m not sure about, but games I want to play for years to come, I download. I love having 50+ games, big games on my 3DS. No cart swapping, no hauling games around… So, if I buy Slatoon someday, for cheap, I’ll get it physical because I’m not thinking I’ll want it around forever.

Cool disc artwork . I’m going to need another game rack to hold my Wii U/Wii games. Splatoon will fill it up. I’ll need another rack for Xenoblade X, Devil’s Third, Star Fox, Fatal Frame, Yoshi’s Woolly World, and Mario Maker.

It looks cute. I like it. I LOVE the way the squids look in the game. They made plushies out of them in Japan, and honestly, the designs of the squids are so aesthetically pleasing to me that they actually make me want one of the plushies (I usually hate plushies and think they are stupid).

I think it would have been better if they had used another color combination for the squids, like pink and aqua, like this the title blends a bit too much into the disc.

Not feeling it. Aside from the poor choice of competing colors it just gives me a general generic shovelware vibe. It’s the shallowest of criticisms, I know.
