Nintendo Video hasn’t been the biggest hit ever and it would seem as though Nintendo is going to add the service to their popular webstore, the eShop. Users in the United States have had a SpotPass notification on their Nintendo 3DS consoles informing them that the video service is now moving to the Nintendo eShop. Do you think this would be a better place for the content on offer?

I used to watch it but since they rpeat some series a lot I quit. But now I wanted to have an off line mode for the eshop so I can wacth the newer videos and wacth them over and over again when I go somewhere.
All these kinds of apps should be optional/uninstallable in the first place. There’s a reason why people hate preinstalled apps: they’re just wasted memory space to many of us.
Exactly. Like the games that are installed on the 3DS and can’t be uninstalled. Like AR games. I wish I could take it, and the face/head flying helicopter game, off since those games got boring pretty fast.

Sad. I’ve always enjoyed this app, especially because the videos were downloaded to my 3DS without me realizing it. That way I had videos downloaded on my 3DS when I was at work where I don’t have Wi-Fi. If you can actually download the videos from the eShop then thats fine, but if you can only stream them then it is lost functionality.
Nintendo Video has always been a completely pointless and unneeded app.

Yah im pretty sure it did to. The content that it offers is just lame majority of the time, Dinosaur Office and there was a cartoon that was slightly funny. Then there’s that creepy ass cartoon with the girl and the cat. Mostly crap in my opinion.

Well, if the content could be controlled and you could download or save the videos you like it would be a move in the right direction. I find myself opening the app, seeing crap like game conspiracy or something with some girl, and play doh style wrestling characters.
Hell I think Dinosaur Office could be a good thing for television, more so considering The Office ended. : (
Additionally, after reading a little more it kind of sounds like thats going to be an option, searching for what you want to watch.
Didn’t Nintendo asked members last year to remove the app to save space because they will stop supporting it? The proxy server I was connecting to stopped providing access so I didn’t get anymore update.
Anyway, hopefully the eShop version would be a lot better with content in the future.

If they are going to fix the issues with Nintendo Video like the limited selection of vids & the forced removal of videos you actually enjoyed & would like to watch again later, then I’m all for it being moved to the eShop if it’s going to be better supported.
