This week’s edition of Japanese publication Jump is reporting that Dragon Quest VIII for the Nintendo3DS will feature a brand new alternate ending which should satisfy fans. The game also features a number of new additions including a camera mode which allows you to take special booth-like pictures. Details regarding the alternate ending remain a mystery, but the magazine promises that it includes “a surprising development,” “a furious King Clavius,” and “a depressed protagonist.” The magazine also says that there’s a brand new dungeon to explore once players have beaten the game called “The Ultimate Trial.” In this special dungeon you will be able to obtain a special “purple treasure chest.”
