SteamWorld Heist Pushes Release Expectations To December

SteamWorld Heist is on many wishlists of Nintendo 3DS owners — however, the indie title by Image & Form has tempered the original expectations of a Fall 2015 release. Instead of hitting the eShop sometime this fall, SteamWorld Heist is expecting to release December 2015. In an interview with Gamer Professionals, CEO Brjánn Sigurgeirsson said:

Initially, we wanted Heist out in December 2014, but due to constraints and just a feeling of unhappiness we decided to hold back on it because we just want to do things right, and deliver a game our team could be satisfied with. Thankfully, SteamWorld Dig sustained itself so it allowed us a bit of time to make things better.

While Brjánn later said that the Nintendo 3DS version is targeting the December release, he assured that the game will only release when everything is polished and ready. The turn-based combat game will be coming to Nintendo 3DS first, then Wii U. Additionally, the game will be releasing on Mobile, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One.
