Japanese gamers are in for a treat next month as Nintendo Japan has announced that they plan to release “Mario hanafuda” cards. The Super Mario themed cards were previously only available for purchase via the now discontinued Club Nintendo. If you are interested the “Mario hanafuda” cards cost 2,500 yen which is roughly £13.50.

    1. It means flower cards, the rules of the game are fairly complicated, or at least requires some reading to get it down. But I know the months of the year have something to do with it. Basically the goal is to out score your opponents. There are other ways to play with the cards though.

      1. LOL!

Most of times, Nintendo seems to be out of touch.

On the cards: truth be told, I have some Hanafuda cards gotten from Club Nintendo a couple years ago. They are pretty neat.

  1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

So when/if they release outside of Japan, should we expect any of them to be censored for some stupid reason?
