The Splatoon Art Book Showcases New Coal Mine

splatoon_coal_mine

The lovingly illustrated Splatoon Ikasu art book is now available for purchase in Japan and contains plenty of intriguing goodies for Splatoon fans. One of the things uncovered in the book, and spotted by Twitter user SalvadorRPG, is an unused coal mine area. Sadly this never made it into the game, but it would be pretty neat if we were able to get it as DLC.

Thanks, MasterPikachu6

  1. 💃I'm a Boss Ass Bitch💯

Why the hell isn’t this a stage? Don’t give me that oh it’s to dull bullshit. That’s why the ink is there.

  2. Negitoro Coal Mine is just the japanese name for Bluefin Depot. You can tell it’s just concept art for that map by the fact that the quarter-pipe perch from the final map is illustrated there. As to why the top image isn’t a stage, it was most likely cut because it was too hard to design an arena in such an area
