Nintendo of America has tweeted that Bayonetta 2 will launch as a standalone game in the United States on February 19th. We had reported previously that it was extremely tricky to find a new copy of the game in the United States, so this will come was a relief to those that have yet to play the excellent action packed title. Bayonetta 2 will cost you $29.99.

So Bayonetta release date for SSB4 is after the 19th of Feb apparently.
Again, get it. Worth every penny.
I guess bayonetta 1 will be rare gem. Aleast there is the eshop for those who didn’t buy. i got mine day one
Mine is still sealed, I eShopped both games.
Though I do not think it will be that rare.
Bayonetta 2 Limited edition (1+2) costs 43€ at my retailer.
Bayonetta 2 Standard edition (just the second game) costs 45€.
But they should put download codes in this standalone reprint, or at least discount codes.

Good thing that I’ve bought the limited 2-for-1 deal day one. Anyways… this outstanding news for those who haven’t gotten or experienced playing Bayonetta 2. You won’t be disappointed once you pop the disc in the Wii U and enjoy the hell out of it!
That means if you can get this physical and Bayo 1 on the eshop for $60 still. Sounds good.
NoA never ceases to amaze me. Why bother releasing a hardcopy Bayo 2 without the first title?
This forces someone who wants to play Bayo 1 — let’s assume the majority of Nintendo fans falls in this category — to buy the digital version on the eshop, and not the disc at retail.
Well you don’t need to play them in order so its not really a issue. if they sold the game for 60 it would be more of a issue but its 29.99 .
I know, but in order to play the first, one only has the option of going digital.
Releasing the 1 + 2 physical combo would make more sense.
You can’t assume we’re all the same. A lot of people may have played the first release and don’t want another copy of it.
Bayonetta 1 and 2 were one of the first Wii U games I wanted. And they’re both spectacular.
I even have their soundtracks.
Oh my God, I didn’t know that this game is so expensive in the US! 100 Dollar on Amazon…
In Europe you can get the Bundle (with 2 seperate cases) for 60 Euro and the standalone version for just 15.

Thank goodness I picked up my copy with the two disks last Saturday. I was scared I wasn’t able to get it.

People PLEASE. Pick up this game. Its is absolutely incredible. Its stunning, great story, great style and replayability is thru the roof. Truly one of the best games of this generation
It’s SO ironic. The other day, I was finally going to buy the Bayonetta 2 that comes with the first Bayonetta, and I couldn’t find it ANYWHERE (I used to see it every time I went somewhere). Even Gamestop told me that they couldn’t order it either. So I had to just forget about it’s existance. I’ll probably buy Splatoon instead.
Now THIS gets announced. A standalone copy of Bayonetta 2 with no Bayonetta 1 included. I wanted to play BOTH GAMES, not just part 2. And it will be a cold day in hell before I’d ever download Bayonetta 1 digitally. So I guess I still have to pretend that the Bayonetta games don’t exist.
