It’s possibly the game everyone wanted it without knowing it and now Nintendo has officially announced it! Yes, there’s a Detective Pikachu game in the works for the Nintendo 3DS and it looks great. Detective Pikachu – Birth of a New Combination will be heading to the Japanese Nintendo 3DS eShop next week for 1200 yen and is available for preload now. Japanese consumers that opt to buy it at launch will get it at the discounted price, but those who decide to purchase it after February 29th will pay 1500 yen.
The story stars a Pikachu capable of human speech who is working with a young man named Tim Goodman to solve various mysteries around the city.

Its not Nintendo who decides what pokemon games to make. Thats gamefreak, or monsters inc, or some other studio who is co-developing it. Also you have not played it yet. So dont judge it just yet. It might be fun. Because its a Singplayer Cinematic adventure game

Celebrating Pokémon’s 20th in style.
This is actually a milestone as I think this is the first time they’ve done talking pokemon in the games (Mystery Dungeons doesn’t count since you are a pokemon in those.) Was hoping they’d eventually do this.
That went from being a shitty thing nobody cared for originally to actually pretty neat looking. Pikachu’s voice was fucking hilarious!
I can’t take this game seriously, but it’s still cute enough for a try and buy. I feel they should have chosen a different pokemon as the lead as ot probably would have fit better. Pikachu’s voice could be a culprit as well though.
Who else would they pick for the protagonist than the proverbial face of the series though? I can’t think of a single Pokemon spinoff game where Pikachu ISN’T on the cover.

HELL YEAH! I’m voting for this version of Pikachu in the next iteration of Smash Bros? HELL! Replace Pikachu with this manly voice Pikachu in all future Smash games and people will praise nintendo once again. :) Daddy Sakurai? Please make this happen in the future. :)
