Rumour: Splatoon Producer Teases That More Content Could Come

Hisashi Nogami the producer behind the colourful shooter Splatoon has teased that there’s the possibility that more content could come to the fast paced game. NeoGAF member StreetsAhead has roughly translated what an emotional Mr. Nogami had to say.

“We announced that updates to the game would end in January but I’m starting to wonder if we can’t organize a little something else.”

Oh it’ll get more content later. 30 bucks for 2-3 stages, 5-10 costume parts, & 3-5 new weapons.

Stewie is Nintendo & Brian is the consumer/fanbase.

    1. Only if they charge for it. Splatoon’s additions have always been free; the probability that that’s going to change is pretty remote, I’d say.

Now if the above video was to be applied to Sm4sh DLC, then I would totally agree- at this point, you’re shelling out another $60 for EVERY bit of content, characters, costumes, stages, etc. Most of it is costumes which are really superficial and don’t add much beyond the “illusion” that your favorite character got in.

What Lord Quadraxis said. So I’m just giving fair warning to others that future Splatoon DLC could very well be paid DLC if they plan to do more after January.

Remember. This isn’t the Nintendo that once said they’d never do DLC or that they’d never go mobile. But now look where we at.
