The highly anticipated Fire Emblem Fates has received a new trailer detailing its first DLC: Map Pack 1 and Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations. Downloading Map Pack 1 gives players 11 new maps, filled with familiar faces from the series, to explore and conquer. This pack will be sold separately from Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations, a third version of the game that offers a new path which diverges from those featured in Birthright and Conquest. You can see it all in the trailer below.
Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest are making their way to North America on February 19th, with the Revelations DLC following on March 10th. There is still no word on the title’s European release.

I think I’d like to play the game before watching a dlc trailer. Wtf are they thinking? I know it’s been out in Japan for a while, but why make a dlc trailer when most of your fan base hasn’t even played your game? If you want to piss off your fans before they buy your game, this is probably one of the best ways to do it. I’m already dropping 80 dollars on your shit, give me a break. What, do you think I got money growing out my ass or something!?
Why are you assuming most of their fanbase hasn’t played the game? For all you know, most of the fanbase is in Japan, where the game is already out. Plus, DLC is completely optional, so you don’t have to take any money out of your ass unless you actually decide to get it.
I’m sure by fan base he meant target audience.
No, I meant fanbase. Fire Emblem Awakening sold .5 million in Japan, .85 in U.S, and I think .5 in Europe.
Why are you assuming that I’m assuming? What I said was a fact, not an assumption or opinion.
Either you buy the game or not. Shut up about little petty shit
I am gonna buy the game, but I won’t shut up about shitty dlc. You can bend over and let them shove it up your ass all you want, that’s your decision. I’m going to voice my opinion against this kind of bullshit until they get the message. MOST of the fanbase doesn’t even have the game yet and they’re making trailers for their dlc? I could care less what you think, that is BULLSHIT.
We knew about the DLC long before now anyway.
Whoa… Having a bad day?
This is just strategic marketing bro. By releasing a DLC Trailer, Nintendo is simply showing potential customers what to look forward and encouraging them to make the purchase.
You know it wouldn’t have bothered me if they released this trailer a day after we got the game. Or hell, even the same day. But something about releasing a dlc trailer before the game is even available seems dirty to me. It’s greedy corporation bullshit. I just feel like they should let the majority of their fanbase have access to the game before trying to sell us extra content. I’ve already spent enough… If you don’t voice out about this kind of practice, it will only get worse.
So wait. You said you’re spending 80 dollars on the game? Cause this is the Revelations trailer. The trailer for the third path. Either you got the special edition or you just bought both paths on two separate carts (which gives you less of a right to complain, might I add, since you can get a discount for adding a digital path after buying one of the games). The special edition comes with Revelations. This isn’t just any plain ol’ DLC trailer, it’s for the third path of the game, which is a separate path just like Birthright and Conquest.
Yep, that’s right folks. This game promises to fix all of it’s problems with 3 simple letters: D-L-C
Right this better be the last fucking game in this series or I’m going to have to choke a bitch. Wasted so much money on awakening.
Can you explain why you feel like your money was wasted on FE Awakening?… Just curious.
I just want the damn game already, give me a release date!

There should be a little excerpt at the beginning of the trailer stating this game has been out in Japan for months so this DLC is NOT Day 1 DLC. Otherwise, you are just going to piss off people that don’t know this game is in Japan right now & will assume this is Day 1 DLC.
