Japan is releasing a new manga based on the Nintendo Wii U game Splatoon. The news comes straight from the official Japanese Splatoon Twitter. The manga will be set featured in Bessatsu CoroCoro, a Japanese magazine.
The manga will release this April. There was no word on a western release.

I sometimes wonder why this site posts news about Japan? Only once in a while the stuff that happens in Japan affects the rest of the world. Most of the time it has no relevance to the rest of the world.

I read Manga, and this definitely interests me. I also have a Bachelors in Japanese and have translated these Author interviews for Attack on Titan and Fairy Tail for friends. This kinda stuff really interests me especially because I don’t have to scan Japanese sites for news like this. Plus, we live in a time where Japanese media is easily obtainable through the internet. Some people even get Japanese consoles for certain games. I think a lot of people would feel left out if the Japanese announcements weren’t included. A good new source covers all angles so people only have to check one site, ya know?

Yes, Nintendo is Japanese. And this is a Nintendo site. But do we really need to know every time I new manga is coming out in Japan? Of well, I just have an attitude today.
It’ll be up on all the manga sites a couple weeks after release fully translated, so it’s not really something to worry over. I can’t imagine they’ll be an expensive import either, so that’d certainly be an option as well.
Definitely. Most manga sites get these translates crazy fast :p Plus, I see Corocoro sold on ebay all the time. It’s where a lot of Pokémon announcements are made, so a lot of copies are produced.
