It turns out that not only people who bought physical copies of Pokken will receive a Shadow Mewtwo card with their game. The Nintendo Support website advises that those who bought Pokken through the eShop from the US, Canada and Mexico can claim for a Shadow Mewtwo card via their site.
“For a limited time, you can receive a free Shadow Mewtwo amiibo™ card with your Nintendo eShop digital purchase of the Pokkén Tournament game. Offer expires July 31, 2016 and is only valid in US, Canada, and Mexico. Available while supplies last. Limit one amiibo card per purchase.”
You’ll need to make sure you’re registered for the Nintendo Store and also email Nintendo’s support team where you will be asked to provide your email, NNID and serial number. This is so they can check that you qualify for the offer.
Probably would’ve bought a digital copy if I had known ahead of time that I could still get the amiibo card… Ah well, still a fun game. I’ve been maining Blaziken cause he’s awesome but i’d still love to see DLC for this.

Lmfao yeah Chandelure seems very OP based on the ones i’ve fought. Every time I see one of those I know it’s gonna be a close match.

I get close and Umbreon, then once they’ve been hit and i’m inside their private space I combo ’em til they faint. I guess that’s why you have support Pokemon but I still feel like if anyone gets nerfed it might be Chandelure lol
I’m pretty sure Pikachu Libre is a female; the tail has a heart on the end and I think that this one (as well as the other cosplay Pikachu in OR/AS) are female with the exception of one (which clearly looks male). In contrast, regular Pikachu doesn’t have a heart shaped tip at the end of its tail, so I guess the gender is unknown with that one.
I kind of figured that the heart-shaped pattern on Pikachu tails indicated that it was a female one (I feel like I remember seeing that in a more recent RPG Pokémon game…) but I also didn’t want to assume or imply anything about gender just because of a heart lol.
Blaziken is also my main, i love this game, im hoping for Greninja and hitmonlee and hitmonchan dlc .
Yes to all 3 of those, i’d also love Typhlosion too but that’s just because I love Johto so much.
This is a nice step in the right direction concerning digital purchases. You’d definitely get more people to go digital if they can get some nice physical rewards that the physical copies of games get.
