The thing is, many of the costume decisions play to the audiences of Japan as apposed to North America or Europe, so focusing on a current band that wins awards pretty consistently and has a huge fanbase makes a lot of sense. They’ve been collabing with a whole bunch of companies and bands as of late.
I’m mostly joking, but I do find it funny. I don’t actually care, hell they can put whoever they want in Mario Maker. But if they collaborated with Microsoft to get a pixelated Master Chief on it, I bet it would sell. Just because it would have happened.
I’ve got nothing against Babymetal, but why are they in the game? Are they doing anything else with Nintendo?
Good question. Probably just putting them in in the hopes they can get the Babymetal fans to buy Super Mario Maker.
