Koei Tecmo Confirms They Have Started Nintendo NX Development

One developer that has announced that they’ve jumped onboard the Nintendo NX ship is Koei Tecmo. The well established company say that they have projects in the works but that they have nothing to really announce at this moment in time. No doubt we shall find out later this year when the Nintendo NX is expected to be unveiled. The console launches globally on March 2017.

  1. Hyrule Warriors sequel confirmed?

Or we can finally get another Fatal Frame game that isn’t digital exclusive bullshit.

    1. Or Commander it could be “Fire Emblem Warriors “. I think that franchise would be best suited for a ” Warriors ” spin-off

-||Well I’m sure it would, it has all the requirements for it, they just need to be harder||-

    1. I didn’t realize The Division was 3rd person until yesterday…..kinda makes me want it too. I just wish it wasn’t so broken right now.

        1. Well people are finding a ton of exploits in the game. Right now it’s pretty crazy. I think the game was even featured on a large media outlet due to the current state of the game. I’m not saying it’s bad, just needs some love right now.

    2. Ahhhh it’s OK. Personally I like Destiny better. If only because the combat and pvp is more solid. The Division is your typical Ubisoft game with the terrible unresponsive controls that go with it.

    3. It won’t matter to me if Ubisoft is on the NX train or not since it’s going to be a PlayStation only 3rd party company for me.

      1. Why? Because I don’t trust them to NOT fuck me over on a Nintendo console like they’ve done a few times.

    1. This. I would be fine with a new game if they can fix the flaws the last game had (more puzzles than straight up action, less claustrophobic areas, a more cohesive plot, etc).

      1. Uhm… Claustrophobic areas need to stay. Otherwise, you remove one of the things that makes it scary for some people.

    1. I can see that happening since they did it with Warriors Orochi 3. The Wii U version got Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper then the PS3 got the Ultimate edition that same year, later on. And they even made it into a PS4 game, too. So yeah. I can see a Hyrule Warriors Ultimate Edition happning. The only way it’s not happening is if Nintendo actually puts some pressure on them not to since Legend of Zelda is one of their babies.

  2. I wouldn’t mind a second Hyrule Warriors :]. I wouldn’t mind playing another Dynasty Warriors too. I would love to see one on the NX.

Fatal Frame is another game I would love to see on Nintendo’s next console.

  3. Oh so it seems that Nintendo has indeed lifted the NDA after all huh….well at least part of it? I hope it’s Dead Or Alive 6 or a carefully well developed Ninja Gaiden game but I’ve got a guy feeling that it’s gonna be another title in the ” Warriors ” series this time maybe based on Fire Emblem

    1. If a new Dead or Alive game happens, an exclusive guest fighter would be perfect.

Samus and a Fire Emblem fighter (Charlotte or Camilla) would be great fits. A Fatal Frame character or Palutena would also be nice, but they would have trouble fitting in.

      1. Samus & Zelda would definitely be contenders. If they are, hopefully Nintendo let’s Koei Tecmo do the characters like they let Platinum do the cosplay outfits in Bayonetta. Otherwise, get ready for censor happy NoA guys messing with shit.

  5. So when can I expect Hyrule Warriors to get the Warriors Orochi 3 treatment? We already got Hyrule Warriors version of Hyper on the 3DS so now we just need the Ultimate version for NX. Oh & when can we expect Fatal Frame 6 to get censored by censor happy NoA clowns? Eh. It won’t matter what those fucktards do if the NX is region lock free.
