Yesterday, Europe received the Legendary Pokemon Zygarde as a special gift via the Nintendo Network. The Pokemon Company have now distributed the gift for players in North America. The gift is available for Pokemon X & Y along with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Thanks, Pierson

Maybe, maybe I’ll get one. :)
there kinda is no point to get one in x/y since you can catch one at lvl70 (i dont remember what lvl it actually was so im safe betting it is 70) but its a freebie so i went and got one.
Oh OK, I didn’t know that about Y version, I’m playing that one now. I’ll probably only want or need one anyway, but then again an extra one for trade’s wouldn’t be a bad idea.
that too but once i get my lazy ass to train my caught Zygarde I will compare it with the freebie to see which is more powerful, i wont trade either but its good to have both.
That doesn’t make any sense. The trained Zygarde’s EVs will throw the stats way off and he’ll appear much more powerful.
You could just take them both to the IV rater in Kiloude City to see which one has better IVs, but that’s really going to be the only difference between the two.
Depends on the level of the Nintendo Network Zygarde & if you want to give it a nickname. If you don’t care about giving nicknames to your Pokemon & the Nintendo Network Zygarde is at level 50, poor level 70 Zygarde is going to end up being weaker once they both hit level 100. Even more so if level 50 Zygarde is infected with Pokerus before it levels up once.
Why would the nickname matter at all?
And btw the Nintendo Network Zygarde was distributed at level 100.
Because some, if not most, people like to actually give their Pokemon a name. Especially if it’s one of their favorite Pokemon. And you can’t do that with Pokemon given to you directly from Mystery Gift. If it was an item that allowed you to summon & catch the Pokemon yourself, it’d be a different story. And it is level 100, eh? Well there goes another reason to not bother with this Zygarde & just catch it in X or Y instead. If GameFreak is now going to give us these Mystery Gift Pokemon at max level instead of level 50 from this point on, they just shot themselves in the foot as competitive gamers want to personally level their Pokemon up. They can’t do that if it’s level 100. :/
Oh, I thought you were implying that giving it a nickname would somehow affect how one would end up being stronger than the other.
Ya know what, it would be nice if giving a nickname could effect the Pokemon’s stats. It’d give people another incentive to actually name their Pokemon.
If this Zygarde is level 50, oh well. I’ll stick with my lvl 70 Zygarde, which is level 100 now, since I already have a fitting nickname for him.
Maybe some day GameFreak will allow us to change the nicknames of even Pokemon we got through trade. Doubtful but a little hope never hurt anyone as long as they kept their expectations & hype in check.
