Video: Smash Bros. Melee Intro Reanimated

Over the past year, more than 30 animators have gotten together to recreate the opening cinematic to the legendary, fan-favorite fighter, Super Smash Bros. Melee. The video features a mix of each artists’ unique style and humor, which fluidly comes together for a rather entertaining tribute. You can get your dose of amazement and nostalgia by watching the video below.

    1. Speaking of Smash and NX… I actually just had an idea for a Smash Bros game for NX!
It would probably just be called “Smash Bros Adventure”.
It’s basically one gigantic, Awesome Adventure mode game, so it’s not exactly like the Smash games before and it’s not a lame DLC patch.
Production could simply recycle/upgrade SSBWiiU’s models, stages, characters to build the new game.
Potential Features could be online co-op, accomplishments, speed run leader boards, epic cut scenes, boss battles, playing as bosses etc-etc.
Assuming the licensing for new comers are green to go then every character (from SSBWiiU) could have their own little story that ties into the main story, or it could be like Brawl’s where the characters were separately grouped and finally tied in near the climax. Or maybe they can go the “Sonic” route and use the “Good”, “Bad” then “Last” chapters…
Considering there was no adventure mode in neither the 3DS version or the WiiU version, I think Smash Bros Adventure would be a good thirst quencher… they can probably add one or two more secret characters to hype it up!

I think this would be a cool way to expand the franchise. :P

  1. first off its weird, second i dont remember it looking like that when i first got melee, and third the animation during the scene where sheik plays the harp is absolutely astounding

    1. I hate to be like this but the animations didn’t flow together like the OP said. It was awful. lol
