The big titles this week were the well-received Uncharted 4 and Doom and both performed extremely well as expected. The only Nintendo title in the charts this week is Yo-Kai Watch which sadly continues to slip further down the charts, but it’s reassuring that it is still staying in there. Why are people still buying Halo 5 and Star Wars Battlefront? Both are absolutely terrible games compared to their predecessors…
Not sure about Halo 5 but with Star Wars: Battlefront, it’s definitely because of nostalgia. The game is practically just a big ass conglomerate of moments from the games packed into a mini game type of deal. Like how Nintendo Land was done.
I am very nostalgic about Star Wars battlefront. But the new game hardly resembles the first two games in the slightest, and the lack of content is disturbing! The only good thing about it is its amazing graphics! The same can be said with Halo 5, they are two series that gave up their identities to be like every other game.
This alienated their fans, and didn’t attract any new ones because they already chose a different version of the same game (ex. Call of Duty, Destiny, Battlefield, Titanfall, etc.
