If you have a spare Wii Classic Controller lying around then you can hook it up to your shiny new NES Mini system. The Home Button function on the Wii Classic Controller will act as reset function on the console. This was tried and tested by Reddit user Zunoss. The cord for the controller is also slightly longer than the cord on the NES mini controller.

They are both accurate Wii Classic Controllers. Either one is just an earlier model, a prototype, or they are both just different region’s versions of the controller.
Why can’t we plug our nes classic controllers into Wii remotes for quasi wireless play?
