Many were hoping that localisation studio 8-4 would be handling the sequel to the highly regarded Xenoblade Chronicles, but sadly this won’t be the case. While they did the localisation work on the original the team says that aren’t working on the sequel for the Nintendo Switch as they’re too busy with other projects. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is scheduled to be released on the Switch sometime later this year.
I’m guessing that these people do a good job on translations…
Yeah I don’t know who they are either so that’s what I’m assuming.
Guess they’ll be speaking american in this game.
More games need to do British voices. It should also be illegal to do American voices for games set in medieval times.
Who says they take place in medieval times?
I thought this series took place in the distant future or a far off planet.
I didn’t.
THANK GOD, 8-4 are just the worse:D
We didn’t just dodge a bullet with that crappy localization team, we dodged a hail storm of bullets. If there ever was a god he just proved himself to be real by not allowing this catastrophe of a localization team from hell anywhere near my most anticipated Swicth exclusive>o<
I mean Switch, but you know what I’m honestly to happy to really care about my misspelling lol:D
8-4 are the localization team that screwed up on many games that I was looking forward to in the past, they just suck ape balls completely. If you were to google some of the complaints about their mistranslated work you will find plenty of people who hate 8-4, like their work on NieR for ps3.
Yeah the British voices will (hopefully) be so much better now.
8-4 would have raped X less than Treehouse did.
8-4 only worked on X, not the first Xenoblade game.
I think that was mostly NOE.
Just don’t let the Treehouse touch this, lest we get a repeat of Fates’, er, fate… (wat?).
Or just let me handle the voice work for a character or two, I need to finally start that shit.
Your information is a little bit off. They didn’t do the original game, just Xenoblade X.
I hope to Christ that NoE handles the localization.
If characters from the original appear, British voice actors, preferably their original voice actors, for them or fuck off!
