It’s Monday so it’s time to find out which software was the best-selling this week in the United Kingdom. It was Ubisoft’s For Honour which proved to be the best-seller this week even though sales for the online battling title were down 72 percent. It’s next week’s charts that you should keep your eye on as it is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild battling it out with Horizon Zero Dawn. Now that should be interesting!

On the All Formats Top 40 (Units) Ubisoft’s ‘For Honor’ holds on to No1 for a second week even though sales are down 72% over week 1. Microsoft/THQ Nordic have to settle with No2 as ‘Halo Wars 2’ debuts at No2 for Xbox One and PC. The original ‘Halo Wars’ also debuted at No2 in week 9, 2009 – beaten to No1 back then by Sony and Guerilla’s ‘Killzone 2’ on PS3. Next week’s chart will have a hotly anticiptated new IP from Guerilla Games, as ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ launches on PS4 in the same week as Nintendo Switch. Turning back to this week and Rockstar/Take 2 remain stable at No3 with ‘Grand Theft Auto V’, as do EA, remaining at No4 with ‘FIFA17’. The second big new release from last week, Sold Out and Rebellion’s ‘Sniper Elite 4’ drops 3 places to No5

  1. Realistically Horizon is going to top the charts ahead of Zelda next week. The Tuesday release gives it more days, it’s on a console with a far larger install base, and Nintendo just have limited popularity here in the UK anyway. That said I don’t doubt for a second that Zelda will be a strong Number 2.

  2. I can’t stand so called AAA titles like ‘For Hono(u)r. The campaign is set to be rubbish which immediately makes it pointless for me. Remember when the multiplayer of a game was tacked on, not the one player? Pepperidge Farm remembers
