Those technology enthusiasts over at Digital Foundry have gone hands-on with the latest build of ARMS and have come away suitably impressed.
- 1080p 60 fps in single player mode
- 900p 60 fps in 2-player split screen mode
- 900p 30 fps in 4-player split screen mode
The team only tested the game docked so they didn’t reveal what the resolution or framerate were like in handheld mode. All modes have their frame rates completely locked and Digital Foundry says not a single drop was discovered in 1.5 hours of footage.
A fighter needs to be consistent with the frame rate
ARMS looks promising, I hope it had the same success as Splatoon and become an established franchise.

Seems fine to me. So long as the frame rate is solid I don’t mind the drop from 60 to 30 in local multiplayer.
