Sonic Forces Trailer Introduces Infinite

SEGA teased some Sonic Forces news this week and they’ve delivered with a new trailer for the game showcasing a new character called Infinite.

Meet Infinite, a mysterious new foe in Sonic Forces with even stranger powers. With Eggman’s army on the rise and Infinite at the tip of the spear, even Sonic and his strongest allies are in for a fight they won’t soon forget.

Sonic Forces is due to be released this holiday season on the Nintendo Switch.

  1. That cutscene looked very… small… like composition-wise… Sonic dashed like 2 feet to attack Infinite (put in the fact there are 4 other characters right next to where Sonic finished the tiny ass dash), homing attacked upwards 5 feet at a snail-pace, and then Tails is like not 10 feet away doing his scanning thing.

Well… at least the Sonic VA is finally sounding better.

  2. I did not expect them to go with Liam O’Brien for the voice of Infinite, but he sounds very fitting watching the trailer again.

Fun fact: this is the same VA as Inigo/Laslow from FE Awakening/Fates as well as Leviathan and Dr. Avery from Skullgirls, among other roles.

He also voices the awesome Gaara of Naruto.

If you saw the 4kids version of it, I don’t blame you for turning the other way & running for the hills. I stuck with it for awhile because I enjoyed the action & when I moved to watching it in Japanese with English subs during the Chunin Exams, it vastly improved. 4Kids ruined it’s first release into the States & scared many people away from it. Shame because I enjoy the show immensely in Japanese.

If Naruto had been dubbed by a company that wasn’t trying to market a show for teenagers that also like Dragonball Z to little kids, it might have had a better English dub back then. Oh well. People have the uncensored Naruto stuff they can watch now if they want to give it a second chance.

Awesome! Of all the english dub voice actors for Naruto, Liam is probably the only redeeming quality of the 4Kids hack job.

Now that I think about it, maybe I jumped the gun with that comment, so good question!

Well wiki doesn’t list anyone else as Gaara’s English dub voice actor as they’d usually list multiple voice actors if there had been multiple guys voicing the same character. IMDB also doesn’t have anyone else listed as Gaara’s English voice actor.

Same thing with the wikia page for Naruto. Just has Liam as the english voice actor.
