Dragon Quest XI launched this weekend in Japan and as you would expect fans went crazy for the game. The latest entry in the Dragon Quest franchise sold out in some stores and retailers struggled with stock. Kotaku reports that over 200 people lined up at the Bic Camera in Ikebukuro and another 200 people lined up at the Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara. It’s also been reported that registers were marked “For Dragon Quest XI Only” to deal with the long queues.

Is this game coming to all systems on the same day? If so, we’ll finally get to see just how well a Switch version of a game will do going up against PS4 & XBox One versions of the same game. Least in Europe & Japan, anyway, as the ones compiling the Americas will sadly put the PS4 & XB1 versions into one category.

Yea, but when is it launching in NA? 2018? 2019? I never understood why companies are just willing to throw away money by releasing popular games in Japan YEARS before the rest of the world. By the time the game comes to the west the internet will be full of spoilers and the hype will be a fraction of what it is today…. Piss poor business decisions if you ask me.
