Severed Will Be The Second Handheld Only Game On Nintendo Switch

It has come to light that Severed on the Nintendo Switch will only be playable in handheld mode. It’s the second game to only allow this functionality and joins VOEZ. Whether the fact that it only is playable in handheld mode effects sales remains to be seen.

      1. They could’ve gone with the “IR pointer” approximation Tomorrow Corporation used for their touch games.
        Works well enough, and there’s always touch/handheld if you wanna go all out.

  1. That’s…interesting to say the least. It’d be such a punch in the face if Game Freak came out specifying that the new Pokémon generation would be handheld-only.

    1. This game, if I remember correctly, was a 3DS and Wii U cross buy and the main control scheme was to use the stylus to SEVERE the limbs of enemies. So yeah, it would make sense that this port would only be compatible with handheld touchscreen mode.

  2. Ridley X3 {R.I.P. Chester Bennington of Linkin' Park. Thank you for the awesome music. You will be missed. *cries*}

    Might as well have kept it on the 3DS then. I refuse to put finger prints on the very fucking screen I intend to view the games on if I ever feel like using the Switch’s handheld mode.

      Oh well. Just another game on the extremely long list of games I won’t be getting on the Switch.

  3. I just not a fan f the idea of handheld only titles, because it defeats the concept of. The Switch, but I do understand why they exist.
