It’s that time of the month where NPD sales results come in that showcase sales data from the previous month’s time frame. Although sales were slower overall in August, not just with Nintendo, Splatoon 2 and Zelda: Breath Of The Wild continue to maintain a strong presence on the charts. However, the release of a new Madden game from EA topped the Top 20 best-selling games chart for August 2017. As for any bonus details, NPD analyst Mat Piscatella does say that “consumer sales of games in the racing genre have grown more than 80 percent in 2017 year-to-date, driven primarily by the launches of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch and Forza Horizon 3 for the Xbox One”. Well that number for racing games is only going to grow once Need for Speed: Payback releases. As long as it isn’t an online only game where you need the internet or you can’t play the game period bullshit.
