Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch has, without a doubt, proved to be popular amongst gamers across the globe. Although some may argue that it’s just a port of the Wii U game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has certainly gone down a treat in the US as the game has sold over 1 Million units in retail sales alone.
For comparison, in the US, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a current sales figure of 1.58 million units, Splatoon 2 has sold 406,928 units to date and ARMS has sold 346,828 copies. 1st party Nintendo party game 1-2 Switch has sold 221,606 units.

Lol at 1, 2, Switch.
Honestly, for a game that has absolutely no idea who its target audience is or what its own marketable traits are, that ain’t bad. Over 200k in full retail sales for a glorified tech demo is practically free money. I’m sure half the games in there were created for internal development and testing purposes.
Super Mario Odyssey will join the 1M club within days of its release.
Worldwide anyway. Probably a week or two for the US.
Sry but i really don’t trust in vgchartz
It only just reached that now? I thought it hit that number back in July. Well, better late than never.
I wonder where games like FAST RMX and Shovel Knight are for Switch…
It hit 1M worldwide pretty quickly. The 1M this article is referring to is only retail copies (no digital), and only in the US. I would imagine it’s sitting between 2-3M WW at this point.
In the meantime im strangle to play even 1 game on the freaking Xenoverse 2 online..pvp, while all the nintendo games have tons of people online..
Good stuff! 1-2-Switch was a rip-off…
