Japan: One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition Is Coming To Switch

Another Nintendo Switch title has been announced, but this one may sound familiar to you. That’s because the game, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition, was originally released in 2015. Bandai Namco will be remaking the game for the console, the latest in a series of older games that the company has been bringing to Nintendo Switch. 42 pieces of DLC will be a part of the Switch remake, including challenge episodes and costumes.

There will be no online co-op, something that Playstation versions of the game have, but two sets of Joy-Con or Pro Controllers will allow you and someone else to participate in some local  two-player co-op. The game will run consistently at 30 frames per second. It will be 1080p when docked, and 720p in the Switch’s portable mode. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition will release December 21st in Japan for 5,800 yen. No western release has been confirmed at this time. Some screenshots were also released, so we included a gallery of them down below.

  1. I hope it does come to the US. I was just thinking and wishing that another One Piece game comes to the Switch. I had One Piece: Unlimited Red on my Nintendo 3DS years ago, and I really did not like it. Was my 1st ever One Piece game, but it didn’t feel like what I felt like a One Piece game should be. I really wanted a game like this.

  2. Well at least now we know what Bandai Namco sees as support…

Port old games and tell Switch ustos to port-beg for newer games to hype them up on twitter…. And they still won’t bring the newer games…. #DBFZ, #SAO
